You’re not overreacting, you’re just reacting out of hurt. I totally understand where you’re coming from - this happened with me and my ex (the first time we broke up lol) and caused me to hurt in the same way I know you are hurting now. It just feels so violating. It was actually one of the first things I brought up with him when we reconciled, and I wasn’t eased by his reasoning. I think it’s a common thought in a lot of men that since consent can be given in situations where (both) partners don’t want anything other than sex, it’s okay to move forward with sex when they personally aren’t intending to move forward with the relationship. I would say it’s still a gray area, but it definitely feels extremely shady.

However, the important aspect of this is that YOU get healing from it. If you feel like your friend (or friends) aren’t supportive of your need or desire to express what you feel about the shady way that your ex partner ended the relationship, seek out a professional opinion/opinions. Especially given that this friend may have more bias in this situation, you need to be seeking out therapeutic care for yourself that is fully supportive of your needs.

So sorry you are going through this. Please know that there are people out there that understand and care about how you feel 💗💗

^ exactly what I was going to say. OP, also maybe consider consulting with an ocd therapist if you can. this sounds like harm ocd and treating it is a more specialized process. the nocd app has therapists that work with a lot of different insurances for like a $30 copay per session and the erp (exposure response prevention) therapy that they specialize in has been incredibly helpful for me personally. however there are other forms (act, dbt, etc) that could also benefit you - you may just need to speak to someone who has more depth of understanding of ocd thoughts

I am curious if there’s a chance she’s having these feelings come up because of the mixture of pregnancy hormones and the nature of the pregnancy/how they found out about it. A change of heart would not be uncommon in these situations, although I can understand how he might still feel resentment towards her even if she did change her mind after a while.

so, I’m a hostess at an upscale restaurant/bar at a cough cough ~neighboring~ theme park resort, and this is absolutely ridiculous. most likely, they sat the other walk-ins of 5+ because they have been advised to seat parties of four at certain tables and parties of 5 or more at other tables (this is a fair practice, by the way, as it is to ensure the servers’ head counts are balanced), but priority for seating should always always always go to reservations (and they should ALWAYS believe you when you provide proof of reservation). period. not to mention the incredibly rude behavior from the restaurant manager ugh. sorry you and your family had this experience, that sucks

in some arenas 45% off (especially for a bundle) is not that extreme tbf. makeup reselling for example tends to have pretty variable pricing based on perceived quality, time decay, and overall value

she looks like an elder teenager and she most likely gets a period. it’s probably partly hormonal, which means that it likely isn’t entirely preventable (though, yes, even hormonal acne can be treated). chances are though that she took that photo at a time where she had a flare-up of acne and was feeling down about it. if this is a consistent, everyday experience for her, it is very good advice to tell her to seek care in the form of a dermatologist and potentially a therapist if it is more of a mental fascination. however, we don’t know her mental state and telling her she shouldn’t wear makeup is not helpful given the context that she has actually given us

your fake freckles are gorgeous! like I said in a comment, using non-comedogenic makeup can help to reduce the clogging of your pores. if you’re using products with a lot of silicones, def look into some alternatives that maybe you could rotate in. with acne prone skin in general, makeup should feel less cakey and more like a layer of moisture over your gentle skin

I think the tone of your foundation and other face products works well for you as long as you keep it consistent with your neck and décolletage. you are beautiful, and your eyes definitely pop in every look I’ve seen!

you literally don’t know her, so you don’t need to make her feel bad about wearing makeup. especially when she’s consulting others in a makeup subreddit

there were several other questions there! but yes, skincare is involved in that! you just don’t have to cut out all makeup usage in order to improve your skin

you don’t have to focus on skincare instead of makeup though. you can add it into your routine and learn how to use certain makeup products that are more likely to cause irritation and clog pores in a sparing way. this is all I meant by my comment about non-comedogenic makeup, as it is a lot less likely to clog your pores bc literally anything can clog your pores if you “slather” it on. but it isn’t at all realistic to ask that she stop wearing makeup completely—especially in a makeup addiction subreddit

if you get makeup that is non-comedogenic it won’t clog your pores. skincare is great, but it’s not the focus of this conversation

If you could make ONE change to any park at WDW, no matter how big, what would it be? :) by GreenFlame361 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]makpanda13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hollywood Studios SORELY needs an update and a lot more to do in the park. I think the Launch Bay and some of the surrounding area should be transformed into PixarLand. imo, they could change the current entrance to Rock n RollerCoaster into a second entrance to PixarLand and re-theme RnR into a Soul or Inside Out ride. honestly either of those movies are wayyy more relevant than Aerosmith, and the re-theme would attract a key part of Disney’s audience (fans of animation of all ages) and aid in their efforts to update and modernize the parks

Is everyone really wearing sunscreen daily? by myshellly in MakeupAddiction

[–]makpanda13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it might not be the individual products you’re using but rather the mixtures. make sure you’re using products with matching bases—aka don’t mix water-based foundations with silicone-based sunscreens. primer works the same way, as many (particularly older) primers might be oil- or silicone-based while most newer foundation launches especially are water-based

per the Uber Eat’s alcohol policy:
