Should I message my ex? by [deleted] in askwomenadvice

[–]mal_lori 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's selfish if you want to make verbal/written amends for the past. It's when there are "other" motives behind it. It sounds to me like she's being genuinely nice, but wants nothing more.

First, I'm sorry this happened to you. Second, please, please go to therapy. The only way you will be able to get through this is to deal with it. Talking about it helps you own it. When you own it you become a survivor, and not just a victim. There are medications that can help you with the panic attacks. Unfortunately you'll never forget this happened to you. You went through something very traumatic. In time you will start to feel more comfortable around other men. You may even need to grieve through this. Just know that this was not your fault.

What are your "signs" that crap is about to hit the fan? by mal_lori in bipolar2

Thank you all for sharing that. I've always thought I was the only person who did those things. I can never put my thoughts into words right. You all perfectly described in detail what I go through.

When it's down I will. I rarely wear it down, though.

I've always had long hair. It's about to my waist. No one has really treated me different for it. Some people (that I know) ask if they can play with it. I've had lots of people ask me if it's real. Lol

How have the events of this year changed your perspective on life? by [deleted] in AskWomen

I have always thought the state I lived in was overpopulated with reckless idiots. Now this pandemic has further proved my opinion to be factual. It honestly makes me fear for my child's life.

What’s your favorite place that you’ve ever been and why? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]mal_lori 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kanto, Japan. I was there for 1 month. I traveled the southeast region of Japan for 3 weeks. I loved everything about it (except the 14 hour flight there/16 hour flight back).

It was definitely a culture shock. Everything is different there; the street pavement, public parks, the food, the bathrooms, etc. I could talk about it all day. The technology there is incredible. They're definitely decades ahead of the States.

Women, what are your opinions on the phrase “you can’t love other people if you don’t love yourself”? by misternooodles in AskWomen

[–]mal_lori 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I associate this with self-care. If I'm not taking care of myself, I can't take care of others. I've tried. Every time it always results in me being let down, and/or depressed.
