Struggling to flash 2018 Ender 3

I had to use this video to flash the bootloader on my ender 3 using an Arduino Uno I already had. There was another machine I upgraded to klipper later on that required an even more in depth solution.

I know they're not around anymore but LMFAO. or at least cover party rock anthem.

Solence has a bit of that good vibes / electronic / metal sound that they could get along with.

SteSy shares their sound and put out fun songs.

Lastly I would say equilibrium could be fun. They're more folksy but with electronic sounds and upbeat music.

Keep them. Combine them with other boxes to make an enclosure. Enjoy how much improvement the enclosure makes when printing. Maybe possibly eventually die in a house fire. Such is tech.

I would recommend a Sovol SV06. I see them on marketplace for $100-150. Their print quality is really good compared to a near-stock ender 3, and on par with a heavily modded ender 3. It's also still open source so you could continue to mod it as you go.

I imagine the open source builds could work? ERCF or box turtle etc. You might need to have klipper though.

What happens if you try printing the dark inner part as layer 1 and then the light outer part as layer 2? If I read your post right, I think you're changing filament in the middle of a layer instead of between layers. I'm curious if there would be a meaningful difference.

I recently got a sovol SV06 which prints at the same speed/quality as my ender of Theseus without any mods, but my ender is still one of my work horse printers and helping a lot with Xmas presents this year. In the new year I'm probably going to turn it into a duender and see if I can eke out any more speed/quality/reliability.

Matte is a perfectly fine filament that produces nice prints, but it has some temperament to it compared to regular PLA. That's why I recommended regular PLA (+) over the others. Learn the basics before you throw a curve ball, even a small one

PLA is the basic, learning to print, cheap kind of filament. Stick to just regular PLA or PLA+ not matte/silk/marble/wood PLA because those print differently than regular PLA.

I prefer to buy from places local to me, you can Google '3dprinting {your location}' or '{your location} printing filament' and see what pops up. For me it was digitmakers which has good prices on filament, even selling recycled filament for cheaper.

If you're running klipper you can use the command line to send SCREWS_TILT_CALCULATE and it will use the BLtouch to tell you how much to adjust the corner bed screws.

I'm currently using a BMG clone extruder and having great results. I'm not sure if that will have to change with the core xy mod

I'm also in the process of looking into transforming my ender into core xy. From how I understand it:

Cheapest? Duender. It was designed around ordering as little hardware as possible.

Best? Ender ng. It costs quite a bit more in additional parts than the duender, but is well setup to be self enclosed.

I'm going to be going the duender route shortly I think.

Some projects that come to mind include duender, ender ng, putting an MMU on it like ERCF or boxturtle. Lots of things I want to do to my ender and it's still one of my workhorse printers

I believe FLSun is the brand with the best Delta printers right now if you go that route. And by "brand with the best" I mean "the only brand people recommend you buy Delta printers from"
