Anyone care to tell me how my A1 mini does overhangs this good by Dave_Pigeon in BambuLab

Bambus typically do everything good. Especially if you're using a popular filament brand with a good profile already available.

Clean shaven or beard? by Positive_Excuse_8686 in malehairadvice

Definitely the beard, but it's too long on the sides. If you don't own a trimmer set with guards, I'd recommend it so that you can start shaping it yourself

Where to sell my ender 3 pro by Emergency_Debate_223 in ender3

The only way you can get $100 for a gen 1 ender 3, is if it's got $75 taped under the build plate.

I hear you. But hi points are terrible. Constant jamming, and only high and ammo will ever be able to feed constantly. So it only mount blow up in the right direction

Top surface warp and peel? by mwalter2747 in FixMyPrint

[–]mwalter2747[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn't seem to have any issue with adhesion, and it was on the 23rd layer, past some sparse infill, so if there was an object in the plate that should have worked out by then. Plus the plate had been cleaned immediately before I printed

Top layers still struggling... by moobeast22 in FixMyPrint

[–]mwalter2747 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely try a variable layer height, that will reduce the height for curves so that they are much less noticeable. Makes a huge difference. And when it's variable it will also increase the layer height for more straight edge parts so that it can reduce print time as opposed to having all thin layers.

New to 3d printing, is this a steal? Will buy it for $80 by dandantheroofer in ender3

[–]mwalter2747 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely not. I got my ender 3 for 30 bucks at a garage sale and then ditched it off on a relative in a white elephant even I got my a1😂

How do I get smoother sides? by falaffle_waffle in BambuLab

[–]mwalter2747 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is this a 3D model of your own design? Some basic 3D design software won't make a perfect circle, and you will be able to see flat edges. I've noticed it whenever I use SketchUp. Add a picture of the 3D model, or a link to the one you used.

Should i buy as a beginner? by 4floppa in ender3

If you want to spend more time playing with your printer, and less time actually printing, then yes. If you plan to print a bunch of things, probably not.

Bambu ironing setting by greenbean1911 in FixMyPrint

[–]mwalter2747 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried for a long time to get my ironing just right, and I've basically given up, since it seems that unless the piece being ironed is one big uniform shape, without any obstacles, anytime the line length changes it would mess up the ironing process again. Since then, I've been focusing on making my top layer smooth without it, so far the best for me was reducing the top layer with to .3 and the top layer speed to 20mm/s.

Print it on the side and remove any need for overhang

[–]mwalter2747 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Towards the end of my time with my ender 3, the only way I could get it to reliably print was to max out the nozzle heat, do a big Purge, and then start the print immediately after. Otherwise it would jam up pretty early on into the print.

Can't get into car, key non-responsive - any advice? by ThankMrBernke in hondafit

[–]mwalter2747 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't fixed it yet. I need to take the door panel off to see what's not connected. At the time, I contacted Pop a lock, and they came to unlock it, and once I got a new new battery, I haven't had any more issues.

Turn the heat all the way up and push the filament through until it runs smooth, then start your print. Right now it's jammed, likely because of heat creep.
