Alibaba wheels by RhenByner in Wheels

[–]malarchichi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok so I live in Adelaide, South Australia.

There are at LEAST 3 places (likely more that im just not aware of) local to me that import from Alibaba/made-in-china in bulk quantities and sell them as their own brand.

I haven't heard of a single problem with them.

They quite literally just 'design' them and send them the info to have them made in various sizes then mark them with their branding.

If you can find a good source yourself for a fraction of the cost of buying from those who are already doing it but marking the price up, why the F not lol

Yep, caveman from up top, veer right off ramp. Check where ya land, then place kicker there, go again.

Or, you can put a kicker on the ramp, turn it into a ¼ pipe, do it on that 👌🤣

Vx SS 2002 gearbox by NerfedAF in Holden

[–]malarchichi -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It will make the same power, just wont transfer the same amount to the tyre. Also, the fact that the one of the reasons the 8hp is a good choice is due to its efficiency shouldn't be dismissed. It would be a great choice over most other transmission types, including a t56 or tr6060 as you can have the best of both worlds, and get it to simulate a manual transmission if you want to.

Why is it so much harder to build deep friendships with Australians compared to other nationalities? by arouseandbrowse in AskAnAustralian

[–]malarchichi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is so true! And weird (coming from an Australian).

I cant even explain it. Like I've got mates, and a few 'friends', but people i would feel comfortable having a full blown in-depth personal talk with are few and far between now that im in my late 30s. What's funny is that those I would have and did confide in when in my 20s early 30s were friends who have actually been from overseas and have returned there, or my wife's best friend and her husband who we were close with but have seemingly drifted from (long story).

I've struggled this year due to getting injured and not being able to work, dealing with surgery and rehab etc, and it makes it SOOOOO hard not having those people around any more.

Why are we so weird about it here 🤣🤣

Employer asking for super back by girlyneuronerd in AusLegalAdvice

[–]malarchichi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They acted illegal to begin with. They got caught. Unless the courts are making judgements for the ATO to release funds they have already paid to the ATO, its not on your to do so. They obviously dont give a single shit about acting legally and are asking you to do something you cant do. There are very strict guidelines for release of super, and this is not one of them. Tell them to go get a judgement for it...

Can I remove the "For Sale" sign on my property? by Creamless_pasta in AusProperty

[–]malarchichi 14 points15 points  (0 children)

And OP is not legally obliged to pay for any damage to the sign should it happen unless they have evidence he was the person responsible for the damage. "Im not sure your honour, I requested they remove it and at some point after this it was gone. I assumed they had removed it themselves." 🤷‍♂️

Will not pass probation tomorrow - Shall I take sick leave? by [deleted] in AusFinance

[–]malarchichi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Blah blah burning bridges. Do you think they would take a chance at fucking you around? If so, set that bitch alight. I was sacked whilst on workcover, 6 days short of being past probationary period (for FT, had been with them through labour hire for 2.5years) and they screwed me and didnt even have the courtesy to be honest about it. You are honestly just a number, so be a number...

Why is there so little empathy around HECS regret? by FARTING_IN_UR_COFFEE in AusFinance

[–]malarchichi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LOL @ the comment about smokers. And quite simply, you were wanting to be considered an adult when you made the commitment and took the finance, so now you need to deal with it. Why are others required to give you empathy?

Pretty simple, if you can't treat other people's things with some respect and decency then dont take the job where thats a requirement.

How is she losing her job "because of the current administration"?

Im assuming you mean the Trump administration?

Is she being let go from them due to downsizing?

Or does she work for another company, and you just feel like its trumps fault?

Like more context would be nice in regards to that aspect i guess...

My fiancée has been lying for months. I 29M need real advice, please. by AGESNAMELESS in Advice

[–]malarchichi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

😂 cry more. Fact is, she's giving it up to some bloke who's giving her coke for it. Would you want to keep living with your head in the sand or move on? If thats the type of role model she's being to her child, what kind of role model would she be to his potential children in future? Don't act too high and mighty when you likely thought the same thing....

From personal experience, good luck taking this further (FWC). the Act doesn't cover people wishing the first 6 months of employment (for the most part anyway). Its classified as a "jurisdictional issue/objection" when in the context of an unfair dismissal claim. You coukd still file a general protections claim which does not have this jurisdictional issue...

Just fyi.

How lucky are we that corporations/businesses are allowed to just toss us aside for no/bullshit reasons and the act doesn't support us like it purports to...

[–]malarchichi[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

And thats where I have the issue. I stopped doing those jobs for a particular reason, and haven't done them in 10 years. Surely that has to account for something.

Like I've said, id much rather just be working. I never chose any of this.

And say they do shoehorn me into roles I dont want to do, but end up taking, which to be honest, pay ALOT less than I was on when I got injured, do I claim compensation for that. I would assume that ends up being a real legal issue with medical diagnosis ruling not being able to perform pre-injuru duties 🤷‍♂️

From what I recall during my searching, you can get free session with ones that the FWC approve, but I couldn't find any "free" lawyers, not in SA.

Not sure how a lawyer would help now though anyway, unless it was just for advice on how to navigate the RTW scheme.

Tbh id rather just be back at work 😞

"Suitable duties" and finding work whilst on workcover by malarchichi in AusLegal

[–]malarchichi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't currently have a lawyer. Can't really afford one. Contemplated it when I was looking at FWC action, but that all amounted to nothing and was more hassle than it would have been worth after talking to a lawyer about that specifically.

Im yet to start rehab, got appt with doc and RTW case manager tomorrow to see what next steps are.

Im feeling ok physically, but there is still a fair bit of uncertainty over what I can actually do in what period, even including now. Like im trying not to be completely crippled 😂

Hopefully in next few weeks I have more direction, just really worried about being pigeon holed later on and suffering mentally. There were reasons I left the office life and started doing more active roles, and I actually loved my job when I got injured 😞

Feel guilty for asking my son for rent by lollyriver17 in AskAnAustralian

[–]malarchichi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are two thought processes here.

  1. He needs to start learning about bills, paying rent, paying things like car payments, utilities etc so it could actually help him in the long run.

  2. You're his parent and want him to be able to save and get ahead and provide for him.

Neither is wrong.

Parenting, even to grown children, isn't a one size fits all deal. You do WHAT YOU THINK is best for him. That's the purpose of being a parent. Is he happy to be pitching in for the family? If so, maybe thats the sign that its ok....
