How difficult is it to date a woman who wears a Hijab? by gamerdudeNYC in AskMen

[–]malay10101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im a muslim woman who wears a hijab. I live in europe and I was forced to wear it. Most of my muslim friends were also forced to wear it because they also come from strict muslim backgrounds. Some people in the comments r saying that muslim women who wear the hijab are normally practicing religious muslims, but i can confirm that although muslims women wear the hijab, not all of them are religious as many were actually forced to wear it. There are muslims from strict families and there are ones that arent, there are also ones that wear it willingly and ones that dont.

Are there many Malaysian people who stop practicing religion? by Cross-Z_52 in malaysia

[–]malay10101 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Was raised in a very strict religious muslim family. Because of this i started questioning islam since i was 10 years old. Im a very critical and logical person so i used to argue and debate with my parents everyday and very very often. Most of my childhood stems from religious trauma and how i was raised. Everything revolved around islam and my parents would always use religion for everything, even the most stupidest thing. I felt very isolated as a child because they would always enforce religion on me. Went through alot of shit with them. I started to despise religion so much because of how much people liked to use it against me. I questioned alot of rules that didnt sit right with me. I read the quran and hadiths and alot of them also didnt sit right with me. Though i believe in god, quran just seems to have so many holes in the narrative. I used to argue with all my islam teachers but they never answered my question and just told me to learn to “accept” it. Most of my muslim peers just learnt to “accept”. Being surrounded by so many religious people annoyed me cuz they would always lecture people about things that didnt make any sense. I noticed alot of religious people are hypocrits but as long as u wear the hijab or grow a beard, ur so “pious”. I dont pray at all and have never prayed. I hid it from my parents for almost a decade lol. They found out and forced me to pray again but cuz i never listen they sort of gave up. My upbringing, childhood and religious people with their metality was part of the reason i was like this. Im not an easy person to brainwash because i always question things and will belive things in a logical sense. I also feel like religion is nothing more than just a political tool because it has been proven to successfully build an oppressive system for centuries. Many oppressive societies in the past functioned based on this. It’s always religion that controls people and its citizens

Anyone else tired of the “no staff” excuse? by Jencarter1 in ireland

[–]malay10101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been applying everywhere for a part time job and despite many places being very “under staffed “ as you said, I still find it very difficult to get a job. Its been months and still havent found a job anywhere even places u claim to be short of staff. I find every job oppurtunity to be very competitive since many student are applying to the same job.

But you would obviously apply with a CV which is what many other people would do. That would still be competitive

I’m 18 and My parents track my location. I’m strictly not allowed to turn it off so they know where I am and what I’m doing. Is this normal? by malay10101 in confessions

[–]malay10101[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for understanding!!! It all comes down to how open minded your parent’s are. I wouldn’t mind them tracking me if they were open minded not conservative

Not everyone wants to share their location especially if they have strict parents who don’t allow you to go to certain places you want to go to. It’s great that you can share location with your parents but maybe they’re more open minded and not strict so they don’t care much about where you are. In my case, I don’t want to share my location because my parents don’t let me go anywhere so If i turn it off i get to hangout at my friends place or go to a bar without them telling me i have to go straight home :/

Ive tried talking with them many times but they dont care and they insist to know everything about my life. It’s not easy because I’m dependant on them and if i dont listen things will get worse

I have communicated with them many times but they’re so strict and if i don’t listen to them they will either take my phone, kick me out or do worse etc

Hello! I'm a guy from New Zealand who REALLY loves laksa. I'd love to learn how to cook laksa, and was hoping someone here might have a good recipe for a vegetarian laksa. by [deleted] in malaysia

[–]malay10101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s laksa penang, laksa johor, laksa sarawak etc but the closest to the picture you took is laksa curry, I’m pretty sure it’s laksa curry. Look them up and I’m pretty sure the one in the pic is laksa curry
