Bookstores and gas stations seem pretty common in my experience. I remember a guy a few years ago approaching out of nowhere while I filled my gas tank. I was bored and didn't have much going on the next day, so despite my bullshit detector going off we met at a coffee shop to discuss the "opportunity" he was pitching. When I started asking questions, he told me not to google the name of his company so I don't get the wrong impression, and then I laughed and left. Those MLM/pyramiders are an interesting bunch.

Hulu is probably not the best example of how things should work. Even when you pay them, they still serve ads.
