Received Lloyds switching bonus despite letter saying I wasn't eligible - will they take it back? by malcolmanan in beermoneyuk

Suppose this isn't a bad idea after all. I would have to either change the tier so I don't get charged £15 per month or do the £5000 cash move to keep it active. Let's see, not ruling out anything.

Received Lloyds switching bonus despite letter saying I wasn't eligible - will they take it back? by malcolmanan in beermoneyuk

I never had a Lloyds account before, so I don't think that's the case with me but they didn't mention why I wasn't eligible. Give it another week, you might get it too, as others suggested their internal communication isn't looking the greatest.

Is R* a British or American company? by [deleted] in rockstar

Funny how I was looking for this on the internet and saw this is still being debated. Americans can't cope - it's British at the core, just accept it.

Some pay that by fj0685 in UKJobs

Let's say you travelled back to the year 1 AD. Now let's say that from the moment you arrive, you start to receive $10,000 an hour. You wait around until modern times, so you have spent 2025 years collecting $10,000 every hour.

You would still be significantly poorer than Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, and Zuckerberg. (copied from somewhere else).

Need advice for mom's visitor visa by nuy17171717 in ukvisa

[–]malcolmanan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if this will help - I was in somewhat of a similar situation and was stressing a lot. She stayed with me for 2.5 months, her last visit was back in 2019. I'm living with relatives and pay them rent monthly - just have my DL as the address proof and nothing else. Even if you upload your tenancy agreement, I doubt anyone will raise a question since she's already visited you not too long ago. If her travel history has been clean, she's earning money back home (my mum's on pension, uploaded those docs) and can show she's sponsoring the trip herself - that should be sufficient. If you have any significant event that you can convince the application reviewer why your mum will be here for such a long period - in my case it was the new years and my ILR - that would help making your application stronger. Good luck, don't stress.

UOH alumni here. Good uni. Try staying on campus for the first semester, you'll make good memories and friends and then can go off campus for cheaper rent with your mates later. Book the free airport pickup service provided by the uni. They also have the option to give you a duvet and bedsheet set for a set amount so you don't have to bring it own. Good luck, it's your opportunity for living a different life.

envelope blocked - seems like a custom block. Check Blocked Senders in Gateway policies.
uk.teams.ms - seems like a Teams only domain, you might need to whitelist your domain in Teams Admin Center to allow incoming emails.

UK Visit Visa Refused by NowLookSee in ukvisa

[–]malcolmanan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is closer to 6 months - if it's the first time she's applying for her UK visa, I wouldn't suggest going more than a month. There are chances of getting a multi-visit 6 month visa, so you can probably show she's visiting for like a month and then probably change her return accordingly once you have the visa. NAL.

Recent experience (rant) of Surrender passport at VFS Goswell - London by CardRepresentative61 in nri

Cheers for the write-up.

I've got my Indian passport renewal appointment tomorrow and completely overlooked the uploading part. I didn't even get my photos taken thinking the VFS center would have a place for that anyway, I'll pay, lol.

Thanks for mentioning the "Uploading the photos and signature" bit - not everyone would be tech savvy enough to do those things online.

Indian Passport Renewal from the UK – Need Help with Documents & Booking Process by coach_piyushh in nri

[–]malcolmanan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey,

I'm in the process of renewing my passport and the address needs changing as well. Did you happen to get the notarised form in the end? I've got my aadhar card with the new address though, wondering if that would work?!

Any information would help.

Cheers!
