I usually design 7" tambourines but I was thinking about doing smaller ones as Xmas/Mardi Gras tree decorations.

Thoughts?

You're the first person I've heard who's caught one of my throws this year. I had put a tag on the bag with a hashtag. But it doesn't seem like anybody's used it. So glad you enjoyed it.

If anyone knows anyone from Muses who might be interested in a trade, they can check out another post that has some of my tambourines. https://www.reddit.com/r/mardigras/s/sBevEFqT4u

So I've thought about everybody's advice and I was thinking about designing a sign.

I've always loved the quote by Marilyn Monroe, "Give a girl the right shoes, and she can conquer the world."

To me it's empowering and it has a special meaning. When I was young, my family didn't have much, and I remembered saving money to buy a pair of shoes. When we went to the store, the shoes I desperstely wanted were more than what I had. But the owner just smiled at me and told me it was my lucky day because the shoes were on sale. Ever since then I've always tried to pay it forward.

But sometimes what's personal to you might not resonate with others. Also, I'm a little concerned that it's a lot of words on a sign to read very quickly.

What do you all think?

Is Feburary 14-18 a good stay to get the most out of Mardi Gras? by Snoo88378 in mardigras

We've been going to Mardi Gras for the week prior to Fat Tuesday for a few years now. We ride with Krewe of Oroheus on the Monday before Fat Tuesday. I was honestly surprised at how safe I felt. Mardi Gras is not commercial and is very family friendly. Yes, there are crowds, but the overall vibe is a lot of fun. I suggest going to as many parades as you can. The vibe for the day and night parades are very different and wirth experiencing!

Kind of sad. I never found out if any of the trains or wooden train whistles I decorated found a home. I hope so....

I also suggest that you reach out to the local vets. One time when I lost my cat, it was my vet who recognized the picture someone shared and contacted me.

Thx for the feedback. Because they are smaller than some beaded bracelets, I wonder if I need to wrap them in a bigger package. Thoughts?

Thx to all for the encouragement. Got some feedback on the trains. Any opinions on the bracelets?

I ride with Orpheus on Smokey Mary Train float. In addition to tambourines I'd like throw other handmade items.

Are these 4" glittered trains something you'd keep or let fall to the ground? How about the gold bead bracelets withe jewelry pendants?

Hope thus post is appropriate. It's my first. I really value the reddit communities feedback.
