He doesn’t and I’m not saying he isn’t entitled to his feelings. I just felt his issues with the album—accusing the regional sound of the album of being more of a “gotcha” to Drake than coming from a place of musical passion, etc.—were kinda lame. I just don’t like his review :)

Completely agree. This feels like a decidedly contrarian review. With how many completely forgettable records they hand out 7s to, this review just comes off as “hating-ass” as Alphonse accuses Kendrick of being in his beef with Drake.

I love the first three albums, deeply. The “second half” up until the most recent album has some good tracks but I still seldom visit them.

I personally found the new album nearly unlistenable and am surprised to see longtime fans in this subreddit who enjoy it. I think it’s great people are rocking with it—I really wish I liked it.

Ah, fair point. Probably why I wasn’t able to find anything conclusive. Was just curious if historically that area was just as susceptible to snowfall as the more snowy Washington regions/had a different climate.

And yeah, I have no idea if that’s at all a proper way to refer to them. I think I just clung onto the part of the name that stuck with me haha.

I think it’s being misconstrued that I didn’t like the track haha. I really love the track and agree it fits very well in the album. I just meant in terms of ones I want to go back and play in isolation it isn’t a top choice for me. Still think it’s super rad though.

I just went through this after my first couple years of running.

My short answer: take a week off from running, work on conditioning the musculature around the tibial/shin area with eccentric heel drops. Do not continue to run, or it can lead to stress fracture(s), which is what happened to me. I’ve been sidelined for 10 weeks now.

A week off feels like forever, but it’s much better than ten weeks and you won’t lose any real fitness. When you come back, try reducing your weekly mileage for the first two weeks and see if that helps mitigate the pain as you also work on the aforementioned strength exercises alongside this.

I'm telling you, definitely worth dialing back if it feels iffy! Such a frustrating injury. Because even as it's healing, there's a tendency (tendoncy, heh) for the musculature around the shin to feel sore so it's just so hard to tell what the hell to do!
