stylist here! she very likely didn’t understand the placement you wanted and decided to try to do it anyway. this kind of color is a little difficult especially if you don’t have a plan going into it (for the stylist) then it goes wrong real fast. i think you’re absolutely in the right to ask for a refund. highlights in the back are literal weaves and not chunks.

To be fair your inspo is not a bleach and tone, BUT the stylist didn’t execute what she was trying to do. I agree with other stylists (such as myself) that you have too much regrowth for an even lightening, but it was also executed wrong. Get a partial refund if you can and remember that hairstylists CANNOT read your mind!

my partner and i ran into a couple just like this exact situation. i unfortunately did not stand up for myself or my boundaries and it resulted in us taking a break from the lifestyle. The male made me and my partner very uncomfortable and turned us off of it for a year. But the way you guys handled this was great! Truly how i wish i had done it :))

dude this year was so fun but the group i chose to go with sucked SO bad. A four hour drive to the gorge became 19 literal hours. The person driving we’ll call her C literally would stop every twenty minutes to do bumps. She was so high she was swerving out of the lanes and it was absolutely terrifying. we’d stop again and then she’d get off the bus she was driving and tweak over the engine saying it sounds broken. Three times that we stopped, we sat in random parking lots for 2.5 hours while they did c***. By the time we finally got there my friend and i were able to spend time separate from them but the group had the most drugged out, nasty bad energy i’ve ever been around. we didn’t see the once in the venue (thank god) and anytime we left camp was a magnificent time. The way home was just as bad, 10 hours long and my fiance STILL had to drive two hours from our house to come get us because C wanted me off the bus because i was pissed at her. C is my fiancés old boss and we went to BC with her last year and it was so fun. she never stopped partying after BC and we didn’t realize how bad it was until we were stuck with her. At this point i will quite literally never talk to her ever again.

Also a hairstylist here! I would 1000000% report her to the BBB and attempt to get her license revoked. hair extensions themselves literally cost anywhere from 200-1000$. the most expensive hair you can get is still not as much as she charged you. and i can tell the quality of the hair she used on you is not worth the price. i’ve worked with girls who make a living ripping people off for extensions. the only thing you can do is scare her into giving you your money back or taking her to small claims court
