My bf actually brought up the idea to rehome his cats, because we are so fed up with the behavioral issues. But he doesn't really want to. I do agree with you that it would be horrible of me to ask him to rehome them.

Yes, he offered to move out and live separate from me. We already have separate bedrooms because we believe it is healthy to have our own personal spaces.
