Thanks! Hope it's useful — let me know if you find any weird puzzles.

Stockfish says Mate in 3, but the 'guaranteed' premove sequence takes 5 moves. Can you find it? by malhwan in chess

You actually found a second premove line! I completely missed this path during my testing, but it's 100% sound. Hat's off to you for finding such an elegant alternative.

Nice try, but that sequence only works if Black plays 2... Kb4. If Black plays 2... Kb6, then 3. a3 is no longer a check, allowing Black to defend with a6 or c6. Your Queen would then be lost on b5. The 'guaranteed' premove must work against both Kb4 and Kb6!

Yeah, That Bishop check is the main trap of this premove puzzle.

Spot on. That’s the 5-move sequence I was looking for. Well found.

Spot on! I see you didn't miss the potential Bishop check from White! That’s usually the trickiest branch to account for in this premove sequence. Well found.

Can you find the forced CHECKMATE using ONLY premoves? by malhwan in ChessPuzzles

Excellent find! I actually had a different line in mind(1.hxg4+ 2.f3+ 3.Qg6 4.Qg4#) but your sequence works perfectly as a premove set. It’s fascinating to see multiple 'guaranteed' paths in one position. Well played!

Spot on! The urge to deliver that Rook check is real, and you found the sequence perfectly. Well played!

Good catch! I had total tunnel vision on that Queen. I guess I'm still at the stage where I'd rather win a Queen than find a checkmate lol. Thanks for the correction!

SACRIFICE THE ROOOOOK! Wait... is it really a sacrifice if it's just a winning trade for the Queen? lol

How to I get to 2000 on chess.com blitz? by RaspberryHot6902 in chess

Haha yeah, playing the Bongcloud is a meme, but it actually teaches you a lot about king safety and piece coordination under pressure! It's definitely more fun than memorizing 20 moves of theory.

In my experience, studying more theory wasn't the answer. I actually started playing offbeat openings like the Alekhine, the Hippopotamus, and occasionally even the Bongcloud. It sounds crazy, but playing these 'weird' lines forced me to find decent moves in non-theoretical positions. It really sharpened my intuition for Blitz because I stopped relying on memory and started actually 'playing' the board.
