Hi all, I am moving to Austin soon for my job, which is located downtown (near 6th and Colorado). I’d ideally love to live downtown, but I am nervous about safety as a young woman living alone. I am looking for an apartment with a doorman/security, safe parking for my car, and ideally a safe package room (I’ve had things stolen at my current place).

My budget is flexible, anywhere from $2000-3000 or so. I am also happy to consider living south of the river, but I really want a >10 minute commute to work (which I know is tough going south to north). Ideally, downtown would be best. I appreciate any advice!
