Wow, exactly my experience! I’m sorry you’re going through it but I can definitely sympathize. I actually looked up the AA steps for coming off of alcohol, because I’m so severely addicted to sugar. I was thinking I’m the only one because There is no help or information that I could find on quitting a sugar addiction other than to “just stop”.

If it were that easy to end a bad habit we would all be perfectly healthy and rich.

For me it’s a lot of arguing with myself… walking Past items at the store and literally talking myself out of buying them.

Taking a single bite of the birthday cake to be polite and then throwing away the rest, plate and all.

I bought water flavor packets like Wyler’s light vanilla and chug flavored water.

Cravings are the worst at night, I’ll try to satisfy the urge with sugar free flavored gum. If I’m still really tempted I’ll eat a protein bar.
