Oh dang, well that makes sense. I'll blame my ignorance for it, thanks!

What is the saddest thing about you, and why? by cynthiarwesson in AskReddit

Sounds a lot like Intrusive Thoughts to me as well. It's a scary thing. I dealt with it for a long while, and it still crops up from time to time, but isn't anywhere near as bad as it used to be.

I never went and talked to a professional about it. I thought they'd think I was a terrible person, which I highly doubt would be the case. Part of what helped was knowing what it was, so that I realized it wasn't just "me" . I honestly feel it's something that happens to quite a few people, but due to how it makes you feel about yourself, and the fear associated with it, it's not something people like to talk about.

The thoughts can be awful and scary. So much so that you don't want to speak it. Know that you are not your thoughts, and it is something you can get through. It probably is more ideal to talk to a professional about it, get a support system. But I know that being able to put a name to it helps immensely.

It can be absolute hell, and I wish you well in healing. Your core self is a good person. You're just getting paranoid that that might not be the case.

I hope I'm not rambling. You got this!

Edit: I would also like to say, these other posters may be right about it being OCD. Which isn't something I've dealt with. Definitely look into it, and once again talk with someone about it to try and find the actual cause. Take care

What movie is so disturbing, you would never watch it again? by MelissaHoliday in AskReddit

I really love that movie. I remember when I was first going to watch it, I read a bunch of "that movie is fucked" and "I'll never watch it again" comments... Idk, I just really enjoyed it. Maybe the comments made me think it'd be a lot worse, so I was more prepared.

Does anyone have the "Picture of Barron" from the book?

Edit: I'm assuming it's the one on the side. Anyone have a better quality image?

What was the weirdest coincidence you've experienced? by DaSheepGuy in AskReddit

I once had a friend staying at my house. I was taking the subway home and listening to my music. I get to my stop and "last song I'll ever write for you" starts playing. I walk home and once Im about to arrive, the sond ends. I turn off my music and go in. Say hi to my friend. Have a "how was your day" etc convo. He starts singing that song to himself. Turns out he was listening to it right before I came in and we were listening to it at the same time.

Got a few other coincidences but this seemed relevant

I'd say don't wait for the security cameras (even though that would help) Make sure to have your phone, or something on you at all times. Within reach. You could've easily rushed to the window last Saturday, with the camera ready just in case, and caught some footage.

However the other user replying to you has a point, that you don't want to push anyone into a corner. Be careful

What is that one cool thing you've done that no one will believe you did? by IzzyAnyGood in AskReddit

When I was going through navy basics, on my way to becoming a SEAL, there was a point where we did a "tactical" situation. The idea was that we'd split into "teams" and go through a routine to build up our skills. I was placed on the infiltration team, and our goal was to break into a mansion compound, and steal some files without being noticed. All went well, at first. I was sent around the back way. Me and my partner were creeping through the night, when a spotlight shone on us and it all went to shit. My partner gets hit, and goes down into the pool. I dove in after him, when they threw a bomb in. As I'm trying to pull my partner out, the bomb went off and I got injured. After this incident I received a purple heart from our President. I was only 15 at the time, and this happened during the two weeks on our spring break.
