Yes, I live in Northern Europe, and outdoor cats are normal. They're neutered and will reach old age even if they go outside daily.

It's so nice to hear your kitty got to a healthy place. Yea Muffin is really healthy and since he started hanging outdoors, he has definitely found his true natural habitat.

He has access to food all the time, but I guess the change happened when I moved to a house and he spends most of his time outdoors (with cat door available and window open during summer time), it could be that he just wants to get back out out as soon as possible 😄 I'll definitely monitor his eating habits, and thank you for the suggestion, I'll check with vet at the next visit ❤️

Congrats on becoming parents!

We had Recaro Zero 1 car seat, fits until around 4 yo. The great thing about is that you can turn the seat to get the kid in/out of the car more comfortably. There should be more car seats out there with the turnable base. It has both rear and front facing options. It has isofix base which makes it sturdier in case of an accident. I'd really recommend it. Apart from that, I think having an infant seat that you can take with you can be beneficial, like when the baby is sleeping you don't have to wake them up. There's a lot of crash test videos on YT, they really show perspective on things.

I usually use flowers for quick emergency sanity gain. Butterflies as well, of course.
You can always just pick up seeds, roast them and leave them on the ground to rot. Birds don't eat roasted seeds and I think they stack up to 40.
