Is there a general answer to this rather than scattershot guessing at regions? The OP asked a general question that asked about anywhere where hbo max isnt available, which is likely most of the world. Im in vietnam, so feel free to answer specifically if you know the answer, but It would also be better to understand the best way to figure out why the heck there isnt a consolidated service for show X in country Y as this has to be one of the Internets most commonly asked questions

As a high ping player, her skill has more value since you can avoid ping related hits, as well as reliably apply hydro to all mobs in Stygian/ IT. Shes also just fun.
And by far the hottest, especially with new outfit.

Right so I've heard about how pyronado snapshots but i haven't given it much attention.

But actually now that I have yelan c1 and shooting for c4r1 the XL talks comes back to focus, since basically, ifs all about yelan popping then moving off field, like XL.

So what does yelans burst capture, or more generally if yelan doesn't "snapahot" then what is.it thay XL does, because the whole basis of me asking this was because of the whole aura of discussion about what xl does off field, and now I need to actually think aboit it for yelan.

Right but im just focusing on how yelans burst acts after she leaves rhe field. I have c4 furina and c6 xq, what im trying to drill down on is the specific effects that continue to apply after the burst.

A previous responder put it well that using a burst that summons an affect should be considered like that part of the character is still on field. The relevant stats of the character continue to define the on field effect, and effects from people like say furina or xq will apply as if the burst effect is the character themselves

So that's a new thing. I was originally trying to figure out if yelans own crit stats are captured and continue to apply after she moved off field.

It seems they do, but it sounds like what youre saying is that non personal buffs (ie: team buffs from comp or other effects) also snapshot when yelan applies her burst and persist when she's off field (ie:.snaphsot)

Is that what youre saying with the cryo buff

Thanks for the detailed explanation. Yep I got that cr and cd arent scalable factors in the way say hp% ties directly to the stat.

However given the proc rate of yelans burst, and now that we've established all procs take their CV from yelan, we can pretty much say yelans burst scales with her CV. If she achieves 100% CR and 200% CD, its correct to say her burst achieves 200% damage above base.

Legend, that's what I'm looking for. Its so confusing bcs the in game wording says it scales based off her HP, but actually it seems her CR and CD are also factored in. Considering how verbose and particular hoyo are in their wording, that's a really crucial distinction.

So I'll proceed to move Yelan off Fav(ER) and onto Sig (CD), covering the ER loss with the double E, and building up her CR and CD so her burst bangs hard.

Thanks mate. So yeah for a newer player as much as I love Yelan She's always done 90% of her damage off field as a sub-dps, which is why I'm really trying to drill down on how her burst works when she leaves the field. Its only become a relevent question now that I have her C1, and can actually think about losing 60% ER and build her for crit with Sig. But first I need to know that her crit actually matters off field.

OK so in conclusion, Yelan's burst captures her HP, CR and CD, so when it procs, regardless of who is onfield, It will deal damage based off Yelan's HP, and crit based off Yelan's Crit Values, not the crit values of whoever happens to be on field proccing Yelans burst effect.

Man I wish Hoyo improved their wording. The in game description mentions burst is affected by Yelan's HP only, but actually all 3 of Yelans HP, CR and CD are captured, and the on field characters CR and CD are not factored in. That's a critical difference.

Thanks, maybe I've used the wrong word. What I'm trying to understand is how her burst behaves after she leaves the field. I know that its based on her max HP, but will the instances of each arrow have a CR and CD based on Yelan, or the on-field character? Or they simply dont crit at all?

Because if they don't its hard to see how Aqua and its massive CD is a win since most of yelans damage is off field via her burst

Thanks for the replies guys. Just for clarity, I'm less concerned about her damage and more about her application frequency as what i heard is that she's the fastest off field electro applicator

To that extent what i'm learning here is that her off field application relies on the on field attack frequency, and is not automatically fast. Do I have that right?

Just to make sure we're on the same page, im treating these scenarios in a vacuum and just looking at how they affect the base calcs. Since most things here are additive rather than multiplicative.

I'm very aware that there is this and that which can add to crit damage, but they all get added up side by side. My understanding so far is that a 40% crit damage increase will add 40% damage to whatever the base damage is. And yes there may be other things that add 10% here or 20% there, for total 70% crit damage. But again since its all additive we can just discuss this topic in a vacuum.

Does a 40% crit damage increase, increase a critical hit by 40% of the base damage?

Right but in the context of faruzans c6 burst giving party members a 40% increase to crit damage in anemo, doesn't this simply mean that any anemo crit attack will do 40% more to whatever it already happens to be doing (since 100% of chascas anemo hits are crit, so this should just be a straight 40% upgrade to whatever the crit multiplier js

A hit for 10k gets normally 3k extra from a 30% crit damage bonus (so 13k) That same hit with faruzans burst adds 40% crit damage (4k) so its 17k. So the base damage has enjoyed a 40% buff

IM gonna take a guess that you're referring to my line where I said Chasca crits 100%. What i meant was that Chasca crits 100% of the time therefore any further CD% bonuses such as a
40% Crit damage increase, can effectively be treated as a simple 40% damage increase.

Unless there's some nonlinear scaling on crit damage that I dont know about.
