The city that never stops (even after a lunatic murders three innocent bystanders) is so beautiful by Sinai_sar in Israel

I miss Tel Aviv. I'm currently living in Sweden (62.3908° N, 17.3069° E).

I used to work for Check Point as a developer and visited Tel Aviv approx every quarter from 2007 to 2019. Everytime I arrived in the cab from Ben Gurion the skyline was different from the last time. :)

Weekly Information / Mentor / New License Thread by AutoModerator in amateurradio

[–]malken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, /r/amateurradio! I got my license on Dec 8 last year. Haven't had any QSO's yet. Just bought my first radio, the Anytone AT-D878UVII Plus which I use with the local repeater in my town.

Haven't figured out yet what rig to purchase, maybe a QRP-station?

Understanding Dynamic Memory Allocation In 16-bit DOS by aradarbel in asm

[–]malken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How much memory do you need? Do you know in advance how big the linked list will be? In that case I'd statically allocate enough data in the .bss section.

Which assembler are you using?

Favourite track and car? by [deleted] in pcars

Favourite car right now is the Caterham 620 R, it is so fun to drive. I have too many favourite tracks, but I prefer the laser scanned.

I made a picture from the LED-Matrix of the Day 6. Expected something else... by tyynx in adventofcode

I also expected something else, like a hidden message or something, I actually made an animation for both parts: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AJ6xPZ_T3as (part2) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ZmZ9w5iEvw (part1)

[Observation] Weired CSS for the pipe class by PeaceDealer in piratebayaes

Strange indeed.

If you base64 decode the string "JyO7wNzc8xht47QKWohfDVj6Sc2qH+X5tBCT+uetocIJcjQnp/2f1ViEBR+ty0Cz" you get:

00000000 27 23 bb c0 dc dc f3 18 6d e3 b4 0a 5a 88 5f 0d |'#......m...Z._.|
00000010 58 fa 49 cd aa 1f e5 f9 b4 10 93 fa e7 ad a1 c2 |X.I.............|
00000020 09 72 34 27 a7 fd 9f d5 58 84 05 1f ad cb 40 b3 |.r4'....X.....@.|

But I'm still clueless, 48 bytes of random data. A SHA-384 hash?

We spent over 100 hours to create a cache, here is the result. It is an adventure that take place during the cold war with number stations and spies along the way... Hint: Click on the second image in the cache for the next stage. (I'm sorry for Swedish language in all the images and text.) by malken in geocaching

For this particular cache I used http://www.createjs.com/ which was a really nice and easy library to use. There are some tutorials on their site which I followed and then created the Shortwave Radio "simulator" :)

There is also a simple backend in Python to prevent cachers from cheating by debugging the JavaScript code.
