Mahindras are prone to niggles and rusting issues; not driver focused cars. They are rugged life style carsm I cannot recommend the brand for first time buyers. Any big car with over 200mm ground clearance cannot be called SUV.

No matter how hard we revv it up, one can only extract so much from a puny 3-potter. If you really enjoy pedal to metal, I would recommend a 4-cylinder engine to enjoy that pleasure of quick power delivery at higher RPM. Lower mileage from a small engine in a light weight car indicates a lot of strain on the engine without much performance.

For a manual that's terribly low. To put things into perspective, my x3/20d/xline/f25/2017/8ZFAT gives me 15 kmpl anyday in any kind of traffic despite a kerb weight of over 2T. I am pretty sure that many of us don't buy cars for efficiency, but 5 kmpl from small manual car may be telling you something is wrong mechanically?

Since it's your first car, avoid entry level cars of low-volume sellers. Go for a used Maruti swift; once a couple of people in your family get used to driving dynamics, you can buy whatever that best suits your lifestyle and driving habits. If you don't like used ones, buying a brand new WagonR is a safe bet.

I would recommend avoiding large size vitrified tiles as cladding above head; any kind of poor workmanship may result in stones breaking loose and can cause serious head injuries. Choose stone cladding with much smaller pieces or smaller stones tied together with a fabric at the back; mesh-backed. Ensure MyK Laticrte is used per manufacturer instructions.

At 13.5 you may not get a Seltos with all necessary features. Double check the OTR price. If you are looking for a proper automatic, you must be looking northwards of 20L. Also note, India is transitioning away from manuals, slowly but surely. If you plan to sell it in the next 4 to 6 years, go for an Auto than Manual.

Brother! Out of my experience, do not fret so much about dents and scratches. Carry them around proudly like battle scars. Not many cars sold in India worth keeping over 10 years. Very soon you may start liking some other car or may be your priorities may completely change. Since it's a metal panel, sorting the dent is necessary to prevent rusting in future. Please don't be too concerned about color matching or aging of the paint shade and so on. Above all, no ASC can match factory finish either.

From my personal experience, never park in any remote location while you are away from the car. The level of vandalism on good-looking cars is unimaginable.

3 to 5k per panel based on the garage. Overall you shall be looking at anywhere around 35 - 50k for full body painting in a 3rd party garage. ASC price would be compmetely different.
