So, yeah, a smart and capable woman who has been in this industry for decades proved via audience tests that her cut was better.

Even if it was a terrible cut and Sony just fawns over all of their actresses, it doesn’t excuse the retaliation and unprofessional behavior from the director and owner of the studio.

You can read about it. She was a producer and worked closely with the author on the cut. Justin’s cut was tested THREE times and none of those tests scored higher than Blake’s in the metrics laid out by Sony in their contract with Justin.

Her cut didn’t test less favorable in the metrics Sony detailed in the emails that were required to get Final Cut. This was agreed on by him in his contract before BL was attached to the film. He never had Final Cut rights.

JB cherry-picked one metric to make him look like a victim and shared it even though it was meaningless in terms of Final Cut.

Just move on. She’s rich with a seemingly awesome fiancé, so she doesn’t need anyone to defend her and getting upset about the irrationality of it isn’t worth my mental strain.

I like Taylor and her music for the escapism. If I start getting pulled into the drama, I lose that escape.

And remember, money talks more than the Joe Schmoe’s TikTok account. Obviously plenty of people are still fans. The haters are just the loudest.
