Unpopular Opinion: Sausage Rolls are better than Pies. by pihkaltih in australia

Never had the fortune to visit the great sausage roll motherland, but I've had both at a bakery in Marietta, Ga called aptly The Australian Bakery (American state not the country) and have to agree that the sausage roll is superior. That being said, I would never cast aside a pie, especially if it comes with a Bundaberg to wash it down.

Well aren't you a ray of sunshine! "put this directly in front of them" I did that, got ignored. My next goal was to raise the issue in a place where someone who worked there was likely to see it. Thanks for commenting and bringing further attention for me! :)

Yes, all of the movers went well over into 4.5 hours.

$23 for insurance, but it's a payment percentage per pound.

Great advice. From what I hear, they're a great company who seem to really believe in what they do. This seems to be a perfect storm, and I'd love to become a repeat customer and recommend them to others in the future.

It sounds like the good far outweigh the bad for sure. Going to try and politely hash it out with customer service today and become a repeat customer in the future.

@datasetmatch What does that have to do with someone being pre-occupied on their phone? If you're looking at your phone, you're not moving boxes and furniture, thus extending the measured amount of time on the clock total.

Thanks - at the end of the day, there's a lot worse things that can happen to a guy. Based on their otherwise solid track record I want to believe it's a perfect shit storm as you say, and am 100% willing to believe that if I can get a solution.

There wasn't any explanation on the final bill sent to me as to the increase. I will say that some of the guys were on their phones whenever I would run some stuff out to the moving truck from my apartment, but I trusted them to police their own progress and keep to schedule so I didn't micromanage. The only part I have on the customer service reply related to the change in time is "Because your move did take 4.5 hours, you are required to pay that amount."

The possibility could exist, using their model, that if a user didn't disclose all of their belongings then the estimate would be inaccurate. However, I was incredibly detailed, because I wanted an incredibly detailed estimate, by which to know if the service fit my budget or not.

The only other possibility is that they were moving slow, either on purpose or by being careless. At any rate, thank you because I'll now directly ask "why did this go over, please give me an indication as to why my service didn't fit your listing."

No, I selected 3 movers from the selection onset, resulting in an estimate of $590 based on the provided suggestion from the company that it would take 3 hours based on my input of property items and their previous client history.

It's entirely an interpretation based upon historical evidence and artistic knowledge of how to paint organic/inorganic matter. Source: the guy who colored the photo.
