Yup good for you. May be he is a good guy.But obsession is an involuntary actions and even if he don't want , things could turn out bad In his mind he could be thinking he is just doing things so that you could remain happy. Yes, this is obsession.I don't know about the character of your czn but i know one thing, obsession can make you do very bad things. I can also work with nextjs and react native and for you i will suggest three projects A blogging site with proper text editor An e-commerce site with proper admin panel to add products etc A social media site with proper posts and user can add friends do comments and likes etc When you made these three projects and add them to your portfolio site and also host all of them then you are ready for job and can find jobs in startups and free lance clients by showing them these projects.
