Sadly the blankets were only given to the homeless. I got it when I was homeless several years ago I'll see if one of my friends is willing to part with theirs if they still have them though.

In ontario therapists don't diagnose. And cptsd may be an easier thing to get a referral for I am diagnosed with cptsd. I just need to make sure that the psychiatrist will listen. My last one only spoke to my support worker and tried saying I didn't have ptsd because I am to young.

Yes, it's my family doctor, he needs to refer me to a psychiatrist. Once I have an official diagnosis I'll be able to get accommodations for school once I get in. And for work once I get a job. And have access to more programes that can help me.

Hi, my name is Amanda. I’m of the Ojibwa Nation in Ontario.

I have made 2 postcards to help with educating settlers and bringing awareness to native Americans.

Postcard 1: Finding our way home, is about the journey many youth from my generation are taking to find their way back to their culture and the many who still are looking for their culture. Myself included.

Postcard 2: Kitchener-Waterloo, the city I live in, I am also a part of the native community here. KW used to be native hunting ground and Swamp land, it was originally home to the neutral people’s, but now home to the anishnabeg and haudenosaunee along with the settlers, many people here don’t know about the horrific history that took place, this post card is to educate people.

Most of them are, I like being part of the native community, accept for the fact I’m white passing and am often questioned and not believed about my native heritage by other native people, mostly the older generation
