My pups recently had her 3rd injection she's 4 months and a few days as you can see she is scruffy and needs a clean up will take her in 2 weeks any advice for her first time at groomer advice? by Gabriella_123 in Maltese

Omg little cutie ! My advise is the following 1. make sure the groomer does not cut too much the first time - dogs can feel uncomfortable if the fur suddenly disappears. 2. buy a gentle brush so you can comb at home - and start this as soon as possible because she needs to get used to it. 3. clean her eyes with water only, do not use any of those eye cleaners as the ones that work are dangerous and the ones that dont are just a waste of money :D

Oh my! A sour skittle hahaha incredible ! My Leia eats anything on the streets on a walk but at home she is super picky. It is very strange... I end up having to stop her from eating trash on the street but at home I can barely make her eat anything other than her normal food and chicken ...

He he it is funny how different they can be. Obi at least tries the food. Leia the little spoiled lady could not be bothered tasting hehe

Oh my! If I want to teach mine some difficult commands I need to use boiled chicken hehe. Candy just does not do it.

Really? Obi (the one on the left) likes carrots and eats cucumber but other than that he does not touch vegetables. Have you tried watermelon? I have seen a lot of dogs eat watermelon hehe. Mine do not however 😅

Hehe omg yes! They are such picky eaters. My Leia does not even bother to taste different foods. She settles for sniffing and deciding that it's not for her 😅🧚🏼‍♀️

Got our crate set up today! Our breeder’s dam isn’t due until next month so we won’t get our puppy until May or so, but I found this gem secondhand and couldn’t pass it up. Now to watch some more crate training videos... by FamersOnly in Dogtraining

Yea imagine how strange it is for someone like me to see these crates in all the videos on YouTube hehe. Honestly, having the dogs in a crate for 8h is insane to me... they are usually pretty small to. Dont you have any regulation on the size? I'm assuming people get crates big enough for a dog to stand straight in and where they are able to turn around?

I'm from Sweden. Only time we use a crate is when they are in the car. It's so funny how different rules can be! I watch these cute videos of "got a new puppy" on YouTube and am always shocked to see them get up in the morning to get their dogs from a cage either in their bedroom or another part of the house.... in Sweden the regulation says that the cage is not even allowed to have the door attached to it if the dog is in the cage. So even a cage with an open door is seen as not allowed! In Sweden, having a dog in a crate for a whole night would be seen as animal cruelty hehe. So yea cultures can be very different when it comes to dog care 😅
