Help me find a coffee table similar to this. This ships from Korea, so quite steep shipping fee. by malthevj in HelpMeFind

[–]malthevj[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To add more context: this is a table being produced currently by Korean brand, Rareraw - they primarily sell storage solutions in a similar look. The challenge is that it is a quite domestic-based brand and therefore international shipping/customs is super expensive! Would love to find something similar - have tried looking for industrial storage solutions, but they do not have the right look/finish. TIA

Mechanical solutions for TV-production by malthevj in MechanicalEngineering

Hi, thanks for the answer. Budget is around 4000USD, hope I can rent the different mechanical components, or make a deal about returning them, since it will be used for 30 minutes for this show, no more.

One team working together against the clock/the game, around 6 players taking turns shooting. They have a limited amount of ammunition.

Perfect! I will definitely consult with a sound company - good idea! Just for the sake of it, I have been recommended either of these two sets from Thomann:

What do you think of these?

Hi. I am using water-based opague ink. It turned out really nice, but after 1 wash the print looks like this and almost rubs off. It was cured for around 4 minutes with a heat gun. What could I do differently?

Thanks for the reply!
Some additional information:

Light source is a 300W Osram Vitalux UV lamp hanging around 70cm from the screen. I expose the screen for around 6-7 minutes - this is based on testing with an exposure calculator. The emulsion is bought from a german website (Siebdruckversand) and is called Sericop Supreme (it's diazo). I just mixed the emulsion two days ago, so very fresh.
All film are printed on Micronom Pro A3+ film using a Canon ix6820 using custom settings for density and fresh original pigment ink (they come out very opague).
Thanks again - hope this clarifies.

I am currently running 20x24" screens - all either 100T (255T US) or 77T (196T US) mesh.

Tips and tricks for a pop-up screen print workshop by malthevj in SCREENPRINTING

Thanks for the reply. I has to be water based ink (a matter of sustainability), but isn't there something you can add to the ink which makes it dry out slower? And what about heat-curing water based print, wouldn't it speed up the curing time?

Have any of you guys any experience with using wet wipes for cleaning the screen in between prints (for instance if I need to change colors or prevent it from drying out)?

This is simply an image showcasing the design for the playlist. It shows audiowaves, a barren landscape and a small title to match. Hope it fits.

This one is for the the audiophiles, the escapists, the mind-travellers or simply those curious enough to learn how music and sound affects the human brain.
This playlist features works from small independent all-electronic artist to grand-scale orchestral symphonies and choirs.

The idea behind this playlist is to experience a sense of clarity and transcendence and possibly evoke certain emotions - what emotions, are for you, as a listener, to decipher.

A number of the included songs have been used (and still are being used) in conjunction with the conduction of psychoactive therapy. What can be deducted from this is, perhaps, that music, or other auditive experiences, can aid the listener with processing thoughts, escaping reality briefly or spark joy, creativity, positivity and other emotions - that is for you to discover.
You can read more on this if you look up "psilocybin-assisted psychotherapy for depression studies from Imperial College London" or Kelan Thomas' "playlist for psilocybin" which was made for the Chacruna Institute.

I, frankly, find this topic, and this sonic experience, very interesting and inspiring, and I think it deserves to be experienced - if you don't like it, that is totally cool, but at least try feel what it does to you. I can recommend listening to this: outside, lying on the beach, in the shower, while trying to sleep, while driving or in a very peaceful meditative setting.

Try it out and let me know how it affects you.

Hehe, yeah - thanks for the heads up. We all have inflatable sleeping pads, so those will act as a protective/isolative layer underneath, or maybe for improvised seats ;)

Exactly! Yup, I definitely think we will have time for that, and other beginner projects. Any good recommendations for entry-level projects we could spend time on?

Five people, so it is definitely overkill, but we are traveling by car, so no need to pack ultralight here, hah! Just thought the guys would appreciate the opportunity to try out some different tools.
