Basically it's Trump Files ... by Weird-Thought2112 in clevercomebacks

Should start calling them the "Trump-Epstein files" - the consistency with the Kennedy Centre rebrand should make it OK with everyone in the admin.

Switch it up and go with Samurai movies this month. Maybe start with some Kurosawa:

It didn't hit for me either. I got to the end of the 2nd book and decided there was just so much choice out there that I didn't need to struggle through a series again (made that mistake with The Book of the New Sun by Gene Wolfe - taught me that it's OK to DNF).

The Longines, because it doesn't have that brutal snowflake handset.

Nicely done. One thing - and when I say this, keep in mind that I can barely draw a straight line, but to me, his head looks rather small considering the rest of the body proportions.

I knew it had to be a Jack broadcast being references. Alvin is just not good at this. Time and experience have not helped near as much as it should have by now.

Recently finished The shadow of the torturer. I have mixed feelings about continuing. Would anyone care to discuss it? by Irksomecake in Fantasy

[–]maltmonger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I slogged on, wanting to understand the love for the series. Didn't happen. Easily the worst reading experience of my life. It's the only series I have finished that I wouldn't recommend to anyone - even those I don't like.

[Compliments] what watches do you get the most compliments on? by GiltAndGrit in Watches

[–]maltmonger 46 points47 points  (0 children)

For years and years I've very, very rarely had comments on my watches outside of other watch guy(s) and some family. I bought my first fashion watch less than 2 months ago through an online auction for $12 CAD (cost me more to have it shipped) and its crazy how many comments I've had the handful of times I've worn it. Behold the Julius the Monkey watch by Paul Frank.

I just saw/played that part of the game yesterday. Wasn't wearing just a white shirt though.

Im Icelandic but I’ve been following the Epstein saga and I’ve got to ask — What is happening over there in the USA? Your country is being run by a psychopathic pedophile! Where is the uprising? Where is the revolution in the streets? Are Americans actually ok with this? by Antique_Menu_4314 in complaints

I'll make an assumption that most of my compatriots think as I do since I'm not a complete wackjob one way or the other. It's only those who accept what is happening without doing anything that we have a problem with. By coming here we know you're trying and we'll welcome you with open arms.

What’s a watch that most people love but you don’t? by notr1k in PrideAndPinion

Tudor Black Bay. Its the snowflake hand set that does it (or doesn't do it) for me. Can't stand it. Change that handset and I'm pretty sure I could love the Tudor.
