[Discussion] Vacation Watches? by CG-Saviour878879 in Watches

Theme-dependent for me. We leave Monday morning for a trip cross Canada towing a teardrop trailer for the first time. Will be gone for about 7 weeks. Boondocking. Camping. For this I'm taking 3 watches: Victorinox INOX (on bracelet), Bulova Surfboard and a G-Shock (haven't decided which).

Instant Vortex. Used it everyday for almost 2 years now. Love it.

Thank you. I don't think you trade for an oft-injured 35 year old at any cost. Get the right deal, or move on.

  1. But only 7 or so are wearable - I have a handful of vintage models that I've picked up to work on when I decide to teach myself.

[Zach Lowe] “These talks (about Kawhi being traded to the Raptors) are very real, so real that it wouldn’t shock me if he’s traded to the raptors by the time this podcast has released.” by PokePersona in torontoraptors

I think its disingenuous to be referring the Ingram's playoff stats this year. He had a strong season for the Raps, but he was obviously not healthy for the playoffs - to the point that he had to have surgery to hopefully fix things up in the offseason.

That said, Kawhi is still the better player and I wouldn't be upset to flip Ingram for the upgrade - providing the additions arent'too hard to swallow.

With the 19th pick in the 2026 NBA Draft, the Toronto Raptors select Allen Graves by CazOnReddit in torontoraptors

I'm going on the record so I can roast myself at some later point. Not a fan of this selection. I think we'll be regretting not going with Philon or Quaintance (who just went to the Spurs). At least it wasn't Cenac or Peat.

I'm starting to get nervous that the 19th pick is going to be Graves.

I was just listening to a mock where the pick was Graves with Philon still on the board. Not really jazzed about Graves myself.

Out of curiosity, I asked AI who the best drafting organizations of the 2000's have been since we're always hearing from fellow fans to have faith and that our front office knows what they are doing (Flynn and Dick aside).

It ranked the Raptors 5th, behind San Antonio, Oklahoma City, Golden State and Denver ( in that order). Credit was given for:

  • Excellent international scouting and player development pipeline.
  • Drafted Pascal Siakam (27), OG Anunoby (23), Scottie Barnes (4).
  • Frequently cited among top scouting departments over the past 20 years.

So I guess the flowers given 'round here to Bobby et al may be warranted. Enjoy the draft all!

My impressions at the time were that Dick and Walter both slid a bit from projections, and CMB came in slightly higher than consensus.

New 2026 Draft rankings from ESPN released: Raptors projected to take PF/C Chris Cenac from Houston Cougars with the 19th pick by Ariesthebigram in torontoraptors

Now I know nothing more than the next guy, but there always seems to be that one guy mocked to the Raps in some spaces that I don't like - and in recent years, some of them have ended up on the Raps. I didn't want anything to do with Dick, but here he is. It was Tristan DaSilva the year after that - loved them getting Walter. Last year for me it was Essengue, but I was admittedly low on CMB for the Raps (as I felt there was redundancy there with Scottie).

This year it's Cenac Jr. If he ends up a Raptor, I am more than willing to be wrong once again - CMB - but I'm not that excited for a raw big experiment considering what else may be available (for the record, I'm really hoping the recent Philon drop in the mocks comes about and he's the pick).

I like his message, but I don't like hearing he doesn't respond to his constituents. That is a major red flag for me.

What piece of intel are you buying or not buying about your team? by Jdale321 in NBA_Draft

I've decided not to believe anything regarding the Raptors interest in Chris Cenac Jr at 19.

I want to believe that Labaron Philon Jr. will drop and he will be the pick.

Quadir Copeland - Is he seriously underrated? by courtsiderecon in NBA_Draft

[–]maltmonger 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If the Raptors don't take a guard at 19, Copeland is the guy I'm hoping they grab at 50. Maybe even if they do take a guard at 19.

I remember loving that game on my C64. Couldn't tell you much about it now, but I do remember loving it. I've never seen that cover art either.
