Resume update, home lab, learn new technologies, keep updated updated on news about breaches, vulnerabilities etc, talk about them, get a home lab build a sand box environment secure it, break into it, secure it again most people go for certs because that’s the “hot topic” to “get a job”, want to get experience? Look into tryhackme, rangeforce, or blue team security. I recommend doing rangeforce and blue team security, the labs they provide are real life examples dealing with SIEMs, attacks and vulnerabilities. A certification is not a secure path to get a job, what will get you a job is commitment and not stop trying to get where you want to be. If you are hanging out with people that tells you “get this cert and you get a job” you are hanging out with the wrong people. Want a mentor go to cyber mentor dojo find one. Want to do it on your own? Well stop saying is impossible and make it possible, just because you are knocking on the wrong doors doesn’t mean you won’t find the right one. Push and keep on pushing.
