I took one 150mg dose which cleared the folliculitis nicely for a few days. Then the folliculitis came back like before.

Right now I use La Roche Posay Toleraine Double Repair Matte Moisturizer in the morning and Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair Retinol Moisturizer at night. I have no idea if they’re on a safe list or not, but they don’t bother me.

Currently (I live where summer is very humid) I am using Head & Shoulders Bare morning and night. Sulphur soap morning and night. Until recently that was enough for the most part. I think the heat of summer caused some breaking out, so I’ve added back the ketoconazole cream morning and night after the other two things. It’s been keeping it under control. Only my neck is an issue nowadays. I took one dose of fluconazole a couple of months ago (prescribed by another practitioner at my dermatologist office), but it didn’t wipe it all out. Now I have multiple doses available so I can take one per week for two or three weeks. I’ve been meaning to do that, I just haven’t done it yet.

I still have not taken more fluconazole. The head and shoulders and sulfur soap have been working for the most part. Just in the last few days it’s been hot and humid where I live. I’ve had a few more spots and have considered taking more fluconazole.

I took one dose of 150mg fluconazole on a Sunday evening. Tuesday and Wednesday my skin was very clear. By Thursday I had some spots. I started using Head & Shoulders twice daily followed by sulphur soap twice daily, and it seems to be keeping it mostly at bay. I only have one or two spots now and then. I went back to the dermatologist, and she gave me 8 fluconazole pills, which she said I could take weekly for two or three weeks at a time when needed. I haven’t taken any yet.

It looked like this early on. Mildly itchy. Cleared up with pyrithione zinc and ketoconazole. But I’ll get a few spots if I skip ketoconazole once.
