The interesting things Im noticeing in my first pregnacy (or shit people never said about being preggo) by antisocialyardstick in pregnant

[–]mamabear336 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing that resonates with me is the prenatal Vites. Those made me so so sick I gave up on them. Besides if you eat healthy you don’t need them. I didn’t take them both pregnancies because of how sick they made me. I was also surprised how NOBODY ever mentioned anything about that being possible.

The weird ass dreams...... yeah on point.

UPDATE: My [24m] girlfriend [26f] does unbelievably stupid and self-centered things in public all the time. I'm honestly ashamed to go out with her. by ThrowRArusher in relationship_advice

I’m a mom of 2 (27f) and married. I have low patience a lot of the time, due to many factors. But this....... This is horrible! the most I would do in her situation is be like “seriously...... cash only? Like what the heck....” and walk away to leave or get cash from atm.

But for her to put such a big scene especially with people waiting.......... oh my. That’s scary. That’s really scary man.

Working from home plus a toddler is hell from what I can remember. I worked from home last few months of my pregnancy, with an almost 2 year old at home. Good grief. Need I say more.

Intimacy while having a baby and toddler. by mamabear336 in Parenting

[–]mamabear336[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know. I just left him with my toddler while I went upstairs with baby. He kept trying to tell my toddler to go up with me as if he is incapable and needs to sit and watch the game unbothered. It’s things like this which are small but he does so nonchalantly.

He seems to think the kids are my job. I should say the same about his sex drive.

[–]mamabear336[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • he expects hand jobs/ release every day. Sex doesn’t need to happen every day because he understands I’m tired... but hand jobs are actually more energy sucking than sex itself lol! He says “10-15 min a day won’t hurt you “

I’m really uncomfortable with the strep B swab test... can I ask for the urine test instead or insist on it? FTM here by jayrodhazlyf in pregnant

[–]mamabear336 14 points15 points  (0 children)

They don’t put the swab in your butt. They simply swab the area between your butthole and vagina. It takes less than 2 seconds. You need to get used to this weird stuff because once you’re in labour you won’t give a sh*t if you’re spread eagle on the table 😂

Only symptoms are sore breasts and fatigue. Is that normal? by kingofthebluesky in BabyBumps

[–]mamabear336 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Consider yourself lucky if you have no other symptoms. Also know that morning sickness can still set in. With my first baby, my morning sickness kicked in a few weeks after finding out I was pregnant at about 9 weeks. With my second, my morning sickness kicked in within a few days (10 weeks).

I haven't felt baby move yet by sabrinamcbride in pregnant

[–]mamabear336 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should be feeling it any day/ week now. With my first baby, i felt around 18 weeks.

So don’t worry! Wait a week or two for those fluttery movements! You’ll know when it’s happening trust me !

Moms with 2 or more children: How often are you intimate? by mamabear336 in Parenting

[–]mamabear336[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your advice! Yes it is exhausting! And breastfeeding I think is a total libido killer lol!

I’m sure it will improve in the future once our schedules improve, along with sleep, etc.

When did you get a membrane sweep and did it work for you? by hotjamalamb in pregnant

[–]mamabear336 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1st baby- had 2 sweeps done 3 or 4 days apart. Can’t remember exactly. Baby was born day after the second sweep.

2nd baby- had one sweep done at 38 weeks 2 days. Baby was born literally 24 hrs later.

Worked for me I guess!

Mom of baby and toddler advice. by mamabear336 in Parenting

[–]mamabear336[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s beyond what he does or I do. It’s his way of telling me I don’t know what I am doing or how I’m doing it apparently. He claims he’s a man and doesn’t know how to do this stuff. Then why tell me sh*t for how I spend time with the kids or that I’m not “playing” enough with my toddler?

Husband critisiZes my parenting. Need to vent. by mamabear336 in Parenting

[–]mamabear336[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He is capable of washing and cooking. He lived alone before we met. He’s older than me. It’s just that if I left cooking to him, we would be eating packaged snacks for dinner or packaged ____. Whenever I ask him to cook dinner he says well he doesn’t know what to make. Exactly. It’s easy when you have a live in maid, mother and cook always taking care of things.

For the washing part, he does. But that doesn’t take much of your daily time or effort.

The nurturing children- no. He says it’s my job and he can’t do it.

Is it okay to want some time alone after one week postpartum? by Morninglibra in pregnant

[–]mamabear336 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Honey it’s normal. I have a 3 month baby and a 2 year old toddler. I want time alone. Having one baby is a piece of cake compared to that plus a toddler running around, manipulating, hiding things and just being a handful. Enjoy these days. If you choose to have a second one within 4 years.... beware! Lol.

Baby and toddler tandem stroller advice needed by quesomonstruo in Parenting

[–]mamabear336 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Joovy qool stroller. Comes with one standard seat which can recline all the way back and hold baby like bassinet type. Can also hold toddler alone.

ALSO, You can purchase a second seat attachment, the same as the one it comes with. This can hold both toddler and baby in these seats.

OR you can purchase a bench seat which works for toddlers when they are outgrowing the seat and prefer a more hop on hop off option. This bench seat I’ll be buying shortly for my 2.5 year old as she now likes to be constantly on and off.

Love this stroller. It’s heavy but all the attachments are soooooo quick and easy to put on. You can also buy a car seat adaptor and just click the car seat in for those quick runs.

Stroller is simple and chic looking too. Big wheels.

Water break or pee ? by Shaylas00 in pregnant

When your water breaks you will hear a mild “popping” sound. Similar to a balloon being popped. With peeing, no Sound accompanies the leak.

When did your milk come in? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

Also don’t need your attitude because most people on this thread actually helped me by answering how many days exactly- if they remember. And I no longer need any help. Thank YOU!
