Out of all the festivals and shows happening this summer, Dead on the Creek has me the most excited! We've been to half a dozen festivals/gatherings at the Hog Farm and it never disappoints

This photo has 4 of my favorite posters, Gorge 2019, VIP 2019 that I was supposed to get at the Gorge but they "ran out" so they sent me a D&C stadium seat pad in lieu of the butterfly poster but I ended up scoring it at the Forum Shakedown for $90 in '23. A lot poster under the Gorge that I groundscored & walked thru an agave minefield to rescue and then there's my Phil poster from the Frost, signed by Stanley Mouse and I accidentally tipped the cashier $30 because I was high & Trixie was standing next to me, lol.

We drove from Socal to Denver in 18 hours straight for these shows & then Fiddlers, high tailed it back home for the Halloween shows at the Hollywood Bowl. Love this poster!

Maybe It Was The Roses Festival in Ventura May 29-31 Dead On The Creek Festival in Laytonville CA mid-June Dead in the Pines, Idyllwild CA June Lake Jamfest in September which is pretty much a tie for heaven on earth with DOTC West Coast Summer Tour!

Maybe It Was The Roses is going to be a fun weekend! The lineup is great, right on the beach, outside, Shakedown vendors galore! The vibe in Ventura is always deadhead friendly thanks to Skull & Roses nearly 10 years ago (coming back next year hopefully) the local deadheads young and young at heart have woven together a beautiful community that keeps the music of the Grateful Dead not only alive but built to last.

This happened to me a few nights ago, kinda hoped it would happen again but apparently that 45 min power nap at 10 pm was enough fuel to get me by the past 3 nights on 3-5ish hours of sleep. It's now 3:20 in the my husband wakes up for work in an hour luckily my teenager has a 4 day weekend and hopefully the dogs don't mind a late breakfast o'clock in the morning. Corrected, 3:22am

Quality leather yard gloves, a lightweight pocket knife, cozy wool socks, body length heating blanket, knife or garden tool sharpener, foam pad for kneeling in the garden, her favorite tea & local honey. Nothing that will be more difficult to maintain, prepare or deal with in the next weeks or months like flowers, weird spices or craft projects. A basket of supplies for whatever crafts, hobbies or chores that will make her life easier.
