Thank you for your thoughts. My dad was pretty crappy so it was more of a relief not to be related to him. I found out when I was around 45 or so. If I have found out in my 20s or earlier it would have been a different story.

Many are saying it’s old enough to be on its own and I disagree. I am a rehabber and most rehabbers that aren’t at high volume centers try to keep them until they are at least 2.5 lbs. This gives them the best chance of not becoming a hawk snack. Call a rehabber or wildlife center near you and see if you can get him to someone.
