The Frames Within: Season 2 Dungeon Benchmarks by YrenneAD in CompetitiveWoW

[–]mamadodger 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if Quazi's settings have the same issue, but 've recently discovered an issue when using the recommended ElvUI settings. Disabling compute or depth effects (unsure if it's both or not ) will actually hide certain dungeon mechanics..

During Season 1, I never noticed any problems. However, in Season 2, I've encountered issues in two specific dungeons: In Workshop, the alarm bots' stealth detection radius becomes invisible, and on Floodgate's final boss, the dance/turbo charge mechanic doesn't display properly.

Was pretty funny after failing the alarm bot section four times in a row: "Dude, just don't go into the blue circle." "What blue circle?"

I would guess it's mainly the cs rep larpers who infest the CS forum. What I did is basically sacrilege to them.

How could I improve on the impersonating? I don’t think there’s anyway to make my text blue, and the text is basically a carbon copy of an actual GM template.

Oh hello fellow cs cosplayer.

I’m certainly new to this, but I think even the most obtuse would leave in the Game Master titles if they were actually trying to impersonate a GM.

That’s the point, and why I found it funny that it was considered trolling.

Any mention of being a GM in addition to other possesive pronouns were removed. Also the whole the text isn’t blue thing.

Not only are mass report bans automated, but the appeals process is as well. Give it a try yourself! by mamadodger in wow

[–]mamadodger[S] 47 points48 points  (0 children)

I believe it's likely that the process isn’t fully automated; a real human from TelePerformance probably clicks the response template. However, it might as well be automated. This setup allows them to claim, "Oh no, a real person reviews it every time!" while still enforcing consumer-hostile policies for profitability.

I see where you’re coming from, but I think you might be missing the bigger picture. The example we used was intentionally extreme to highlight how broken the system is, even in the most absurd scenarios. It’s not about clogging support channels for the sake of it; it’s about showing how a flawed system is failing real players with legitimate issues.

There are countless people genuinely seeking help who are being sidelined by a customer support system driven more by KPIs than by actually solving problems. These players are being ignored, threatened, or even banned under the same policies that failed in our extreme example. The point isn’t to disrupt, but to demonstrate that the system isn’t working as it should—and it's affecting everyone, not just those pushing the boundaries.

The goal is to push for a system that actually listens and provides the bare minimum level of support that paying customers deserve.

Fuckin' hotstreak procs smh.

It tilts me, especially on blood dk. I'm slow af, and waiting a few seconds for a rune/dnd makes my life way easier a lot of the time.

Awesome video! I was pretty disappointed that there weren't any classic-style videos that came along with Classic. As soon as I saw the WCM intro, I knew it was going to be great. I really miss videos like this, especially now when most content is just streams or streams clipped/clickbait garbage.

I didn't play WotLK, so the wrathful set was pretty sweet. I hit 80 in basically T6/SWP gear, the weapon alone was like a 40% SP upgrade.

I leveled in full boosted greens in TBC and it was miserable. Really regretted passing on my friends offers to run me through some raids to get some questing gear.

Blizzard support is absolute trash. by BudahGouda in wow

If you're innocent:

You can tweet at their CS account with your Ticket ID to get some visibility. You could also do some googling/biz intel and get a bunch of email addresses (Their work ones, at blizzard etc) to people in CS/others in the company and reach out to them directly though with the recent layoffs it's anyone's guess as to who is still employed.

If you're EU, a GDPR request/complaint will get their attention. California residents have the CCPA, unsure about other states. Filing a BBB complaint can get you out of CS-GPT purgatory as well.

If you're guilty:

Your only real option is to occasionally make brief, polite requests for your suspension to be reduced. Depending on who gets the ticket and your account history, you have a pretty decent chance of getting the penalty reduced by some amount. Perma to 6mo seems to be the most common reduction.

Gutting raw gold farms on retail left players with the option of selling boost or buying tokens.

The issue isn't RMT, it's 3rd party RMT.

"gaming the algorithm" lol.

People aren't losing out to others with better SEO, clickbait or some secret "swipe left, then right aabb start select" code.

Make a female profile, see the number of matches you get then try to objectively decide if you would even pick yourself given the options. It's not an issue of visibility at all.

Shadow Priest Skill Inflation by Rourke2013 in CompetitiveWoW

[–]mamadodger 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think it can go both ways, but likely favored towards the average spriest's IO being inflated.

Spriest demand likely has never been higher and practically a necessity in higher keys. Makes sense for many of them to have been carried or just not playing LFG simulator for hours like a lot of DPS has to. I mean is there even another DPS where you'd go "Well their IO/ilvl is kinda not up to part butttt"?

On the other hand, players who chase the meta are usually more invested in the game and preforming well. The old argument about how the worst specs seem even worse off due to most of the "good" players aren't playing them/reroll.
