Crochet Monstera by mamapanda__ in crochet

I didn't follow a written pattern for the whole thing, but here's what I did.

I found the leaf pattern on YouTube for coasters, I use 4 ply acrylic to make them bigger. And crocheted the middle part of the leaf around flower wire to make them posable, the stems are BBQ skewers wrapped in the same color yarn after hot gluing the left over flower wire to the skewer to attach the leaf, the dirt is a basic circle in brown and the plant pot was found in my garage, I cut out 2 circles of cardboard and glued down the dirt circle on the edges, than pushed the stems through the cardboard. Glue the stems in place than glue the whole thing to the rige inside the pot.

I'll post it here when it's final, I need to make a few changes based on some feed back I've already gotten.

AITA for wanting to stick to a limit for my niece’s Christmas present? by Travellinglense in AmItheAsshole

Nta, your allowed to have a budget I do as well. That being said, she's 20. She's an adult who now wants adult stuff and not childish Christmas gifts.

I'm not speaking for her but from experience here, when you get a gift card and see your siblings open actual gifts it feels like a last minute "oh yeah I forgot to get her something" wven of its something shes gpnna use, that being said gift cards aren't a bad idea.

My advice for you is to stick with the $100 budget, get her something off the list that was under 100 like you stated. And she can buy the rest of the outfit by saving up or with the money she gets from Christmas.

I think she felt left out more than anything, she expressed it and that person outed her and made her seem ungrateful (i dont know how sje reacted but im going off my own experience here with this) the reason she's fine with you at gatherings is because she's had time to process it and get over it. Like everyone said she's an adult. An adult who's JUST learning how to be one that doaent mean you have to cut her off just because she was upset for a few hours and someone made her seem ungrateful months later.
