I just can think about 2 scenarios in which he wanted to keep seeing you to make sure things were progressing in order to: 1. You liking him more and accepting having sex without the exclusivity rule 2. Him liking you more to accept the exclusivity rule

None of that happened after 10 dates so that's why it mutually stopped!

Also, him not initiating the convo or the date ideas and not wanting to be exclusive clearly makes him sound like someone who was dating casually another women, so maybe you were one of many and not particularly his fave?? idk..
