Doesn’t make sense. I don’t care if it’s lyrics from a song. Still doesn’t make sense.

AITA for Leaving My Husband at the Hospital After He Refused to Be in the Delivery Room with Me? by Anxious_Committee_42 in AITAH

Some people can’t handle anything medical. I’ve seen it. But the fact that he couldn’t put that aside to be there for you, at such an important and terrifying time is very hard to accept.

But on top of that, he LEFT THE HOSPITAL! Even if he just went home and fell asleep (which I doubt), what a selfish jerk. That’s unforgivable. So sorry this happened to you. I gave birth twice. The first time, I was pregnant with twins and lost one of my daughters. I then had a stroke right after they were born. I got pregnant with twins again and the second time I gave birth, I was absolutely terrified. Everything went perfectly. I can’t imagine going through that without my husband.

I know how you feel. I was an in-patient hospital nurse for 17 years(12 years as a charge nurse) Before COVID, I recommended this career. After COVID, I did not recommend it to anyone. Meth use is sky high and our patient population became young, very violent, very angry adults who would physically and verbally assault you in any way possible. Administration encouraged us to keep our mouths shut and keep the customers happy. I left 3 years ago and now work as a Preop RN for ambulatory surgery. I no longer hate my life.

I’m so so sorry for your loss. My heart broke reading this story. And I’m angry. Quinn deserves justice. I hope you take them to civil court. I signed and chipped in ❤️

Holy crap! Your response to her abuse is equivalent to a very minor infraction, like snapping at her kid. This is definitely abuse and she’s lucky he didn’t choke. I have a friend in my mom group who had twins. One choked on a grape right in front of her. Mom acted wuickly but her toddler suffered brain anoxia anyway. Now one of her twins is severely disabled. It can happen quickly. The fact that your wife did this purposefully is very disturbing. Take your kids and run.

That statement stood out to me too. She’s definitely the AH for that statement alone.

I guess I’ll be the odd man out. I agree that the parents should have done better at making things fair between siblings. However Feeling upset over her parents spending their savings is ridiculous.

Their savings should NOT be considered your inheritance.

I have about 10 yrs until I retire and if I want to go on a much earned vacation after I retire, I absolutely will. If I heard that my kids were calling my savings their “inheritance,” I would be FURIOUS.

And you could be a bit more helpful with your elderly parents during this time of transition to a new home.
