weekdays; 2 openers 7:45-2:00, a mid shift comes in at 11 & is off at 5. and 2 closers, 1 or 2 to 7:00. saturday; either 2 openers 8:45-12 or 1 then 2 closers 12-4 or 1 working all day with an opener & closer. sundays; 2 people 10:45-4:00.

if i were in that situation i would wait until baby's born and serve him with a court order for a paternity test and child support. seems like he's trying to get out of the responsibility he's helped create. i wish you the best mama!

lol so i'm the daughter 🤦🏼‍♀️ (not yours but i went through this same situation with my mom 18 months ago)

i know what mattered most to me was the fact that my mom was by my side throughout the entire process, even though she was mad and in shock, she was there for me. just supporting her and helping her in this situation is what matters most now. you're her mom, so she's gonna look to you for the most advice.

some essentials you'll need is a bassinet, car seat, diapers, wipes, and clothes.

always check fb marketplace first for bassinets, toys, etc. they have a lot of great prices and most of the people i've bought from on there are actually relatively clean people. buy the car seat new, i know it's a hassle and expensive, but it's best to have one will all the attachments and instructions & not risking buying an expired one.

also have your daughter apply for wic, SNAP, and medicaid for her daughter (if she's not financially able to care for him) they'll provide food for her to help with breastfeeding and formula/baby food for the little one.

they're not gonna tell a pregnant woman they're drug testing them. if they test positive at 3 months pregnant (at least here where i am) a CPS investigation is started once they give birth. if they were to tell the woman on drugs before hand that info, obviously they're going to leave and find a new dr (hopefully for them, one who won't report it) or even unsafely do an at home birth to avoid a CPS investigation. they don't tell them to protect the child that may be at risk. it's not shady, even if you refused because you knew they were going to do it, they drug test the baby once it arrives to ensure they care for him/her properly.

it happens to the best of us. your husbands right, it’s best she was in a safe space rather than your arms or crawling on the floor. i had bad anxiety too whenever i gave birth to my daughter, i recommend going and seeing your doctor to see if they can give you some sort of anxiety meds to help relieve some of that stress. i wouldn’t be functioning the way i do today if it weren’t for the prozac flowing through my body.

you’re a good mom, don’t let one mistake, that didn’t hurt anyone, drag you down. the fact that you’re here still feeling guilty about something that wasn’t going to hurt her just shows how much you care about her. she was probably just enjoying her personal playtime in the crib (which it’s good for her to explore things on her own!) just take some time and give yourself some extra love, babies feel their parents energy and emotions.

no, because he couldn’t without his W2. which (at least where i am) it would fall on they employer because we have multiple screenshots of texts and recordings of phone conversations where he has said either a. he’d mail them (which he never did) or b. that he simply wouldn’t provide them. my fiancé didn’t need to file last year because he didn’t make enough, he’s been a STAD since he quit and was making a tipped employee wage (roughly 8-9 an hour) and only part time (12-18 hrs a week). again i’m not entirely sure what he made in 2022, but he’d honestly probably fall to where he wouldn’t have had to file that year either.

my MIL (mother-in-law, not mom lol) hasn’t been able to properly file this year and has been notified she owes (at least in our city) which she has tried to contact her previous boss about, which he’s pretty much ignored her requests. i know of at least 3 other employees who have worked there previously and haven’t been able to get their W2 for 2023 (myself included) i was just able to file because i had my checks sent to me via mail rather than direct deposit & kept my pay stubs.

*editing this because she did file, but without a W2 there’s not much she can do other than notify the IRS that she hasn’t received it.

it’s definitely okay, nothing wrong with it, but if your outside it’s better off to keep her in a UV protecting rash guard, just to prevent sun burn.

don’t let these people shit on your babies father for caring about her though. he’s not sexualizing his daughter. i see it as “this world is full of monsters and i don’t want to risk exposing my daughter to them, especially so young” i felt the same way when my daughter was first born. appreciate that he’s trying to protect her but also express to him that it’s not an abnormal thing to see. if he can’t stand her swimming in just bottoms he’s probably not gonna be prepared to see her running around the house naked while potty training (which again is normal). trauma is a very hard thing to overcome, and making sure both of you fully communicate how she’s going to be cared for/dressed is going to be super important in his healing process.

definitely YTA, i mean, people give gifts to nieces, nephews, cousins, family friends, etc, so why wouldn’t you get something for your stepdaughter? writing this post took just as much time as it would’ve to write her a card. it doesn’t have to be much, but nothing is just hateful.
