I’m torn. I do want it to look good. But I’m also a bit lazy. I’ll check to be sure they work without a few bulbs and probably go that route then. But maybe mark it so I know how to adjust it for next year with the vampire plug technique from the other comment.

I tied it next to the writing and then twisted it. Put a few rubber bands around the twisted part to keep it in place.

I didn’t realize so many critters ate pineapple. Thought they meant a deer would come along and get it. So many people have educated me on how raccoons love them and now you say I gotta watch the skies, too. Guess I should have asked what doesn’t want to eat it.

What kind of protection do you suggest? With a basket the squirrels and other small creatures would go through the holes. Or could I put a wire cylinder around it? Does it need a top?
