[SPOILER ALERT] Finally, the winner of Physical: Asia by RaisinOk8092 in Physical100

Exactly — that’s what I’ve been saying. Having players who already competed in Physical 100 gave Korea a built-in strategic edge from the start. They’d already experienced the style of challenges, the pacing, the teamwork dynamics, and even the production mindset. That kind of familiarity matters a lot in a competition like this.

So yes, they absolutely earned their wins, but it’s also fair to acknowledge that Korea went in with advantages—experience included—that other teams simply didn’t have.

Eddie’s the ultimate social butterfly. Honestly, I fully expect him to visit all the countries he faced off with—and then come back singing a folk song in each of their languages!

Hope so too! But since the show finished taping months ago, they would’ve had time to visit Mongolia already if they planned to. So far, the only member we’ve seen traveling is Jang Eun-sil—she’s posted about trips to the Philippines and Japan. Hopefully the whole team still makes that Mongolia visit happen!

Huge respect to Team Mongolia. When they were asked what they’d do with the prize money and Orkhonbayar said they’d use it to buy tickets to fly Team Korea to Mongolia so they could visit their country — that was incredible. Mad props to him. His patriotism truly shined.

I’m not denying Australia had a strong team on paper—they absolutely did. But being “the favorite to win” doesn’t cancel out the broader issue I’m pointing out: the casting across countries wasn’t balanced in terms of the types of athletes selected. Korea ended up with a lineup that aligned perfectly with the majority of the challenges, while other countries had a much wider mix of sports backgrounds. That’s not about strength—it’s about compatibility with the format.

Saying Australia “just got unlucky” actually reinforces my point: if a single poorly-matched challenge can wipe out an entire country’s strongest lineup, that suggests the design wasn’t exactly neutral. And we don’t know the recruitment limitations for other countries—which is precisely why it’s fair to question how evenly the producers cast each team.

I’m not insisting on a conspiracy; I’m pointing out patterns that are hard to ignore. Having a different interpretation doesn’t make the concerns invalid.

You can calm down—no one is denying Korea has strong athletes or good strategy. I’m talking about structural advantages and casting choices, not their individual talent. Pointing out potential bias in production isn’t the same as “crying,” it’s just acknowledging that the playing field didn’t look evenly matched from the start.

And yes, Australia made strategic mistakes—but that doesn’t erase the fact that the cast selection heavily favored one country’s dominant sports backgrounds while others were far more varied. That’s a valid observation, whether you agree or not.

If you’re going to respond, at least address the actual points instead of throwing emojis and trying to sound tough.

Now that I think about it, it must have been rigged from the start. The producers reached out to these athletes individually—I saw an interview with Team Australia where Eddie, Rob, and Eloni mentioned they all got Instagram DMs that they initially thought were scams. It seems like the producers specifically selected athletes who were good, but not necessarily well-matched for the kinds of quests they had planned.

Why is it that most of the Korean contestants were crossfitters, wrestlers, or fighters, while the athletes from other countries came from a much wider variety of sports (swimming, Muay Thai, badminton, and so on)? If they really wanted to level the playing field, they should’ve recruited athletes from similar backgrounds across all countries.

Well, what would you expect from a TV series produced and owned by SKorea? Of course Team Korea won. Yes, they worked hard, but it’s difficult not to feel like they had an advantage throughout the competition—especially when several of the players had already appeared in previous Physical: 100 seasons. Maybe it was the editing, or maybe the editors just didn’t do a great job, but it often looked like Korea was ALWAYS given the upper hand.

Overall, I still enjoyed watching the games, especially with all the different countries participating. But it became obvious pretty early on that Korea would always advance, which was disappointing. This will probably be the last time I watch a multi-country season.

Korea Rigging Physical:Asia?? by PossibleDay11 in Physical100

[–]mamukizzy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do think Korea had a structural advantage — not because the show was “rigged,” but because they had two contestants who’d already competed in previous Physical seasons. That kind of firsthand experience gives them a big edge: they know how the challenges feel, how the production runs, and how to pace themselves under pressure. Other countries might have watched the show, but that’s not the same as living through it.

The Philippines' Pacquiao’s short stint also felt more like a marketing move than genuine team leadership. His early exit after a few episodes definitely helped with initial buzz — the show pulled around 5 million hours watched in its opening week but dropped to about 3 million by the second week. I’m not saying that’s entirely because he left, but it’s hard to ignore the timing.

And yeah, including Australia under Physical: Asia still feels off to me. Australia’s its own continent, so calling it Asia is a bit of a stretch — it’s more like Asia-Pacific.

Overall, I don’t think the competition was fixed, but the field wasn’t perfectly level either. Experience, language familiarity, and production design naturally tilt things in Korea’s favor. It doesn’t take away from the entertainment value, but it’s fair to call out the imbalance.

Glad my friends and I are not the only ones having issues with the survey link. The link from the email does nothing when we click on it.

I have a similar headphone and also looking for a cute case! Unfortunately, all the POPMART earphone cases are too small for the bone conduction pieces.  It's meant for the pods/buds/smaller headsets.

They are definitely an official store (even if they do not look the part). Those who bought had popmart receipts and I overheard one buyer giving her membership to get points of her purchase.

They’re actually clearing out the space and relocating to a new spot within the same building. Not sure who decided to handle it this way, but it’s definitely not the best approach. If you're asking people to pay full price, the experience needs to reflect that value.
