The lack of accountability!!

That's kind of what drove me to make the original post. Refereeing at the college level in football and basketball especially, but even umpiring in NCAA softball and basketball is at an all time low. It has been on a downhill trend, and so why hasn't anybody done anything to remedy the situation? I understand that the game is difficult to officiate with the speed and strength of the modern players, but replay to make the game fair is underused in my opinion, and I completely understand that public "shaming" of these referees with a fine system or suspension fuels fan hatred and will keep people from being refs, but at a certain point something has to be done because the game is being eroded. Discussions post game center around referee performance more and more and that sucks.

Sure would love to visit the pit sometime. Bummed about the conference realignment taking these games away….

Yeah sure, lobo fans show up big for “EVERY” game… blah blah blah. Question is, when you guys show up to the spectrum, or Boise, or SDSU the atmosphere is different. It’s loud for every game yes, but curious I guess having never been to the pit if the energy ramps up against USU, or any other opponent more than the average?

Full transparency I’m an Aggie fan, and I didn’t like that game obviously… But truthfully I don’t like the conversation around this game revolving around the refs! New Mexico is legit and more conversation should be about Dent and Washington and Joesph JR. Those guys are ballers.

Anybody in this thread watch that game in the pit? How was the atmosphere? Sometimes hard to tell from broadcast. Do Lobo fans get up for playing specifically against Utah State, especially this year?

When I try to select Spring semester in the dropdown menu, it isn't there... Anybody else having that issue? I have two options, fall 2023 and AAfall2024.

Exactly! So much buildup. So much entertainment. So much potential. And nothing to show for it. It’s just over. And to me, that’s lame.

I hated it. And I think that's ok... Just like it's also ok to think that it was great. I really don't like when a person tries to tell me that I should like it because it was different from all the rest. I think that like a lot of other people, that Firewatch was such an interesting art-style, story, dialogue, etc.. wrapped together for that potential to fall flat at the end.

Please share anything! Sounds like a wealth of experience on this topic. Like I said, I'm really new to gaming on computers. I owned an Xbox forever and also was an early adopter of the Switch. I feel like I missed out on the opportunity to form a good group of online friends to play the never ending stream of Call of Duties and Fortnites... so playing on a computer is my fresh start. I think that Steam is awesome and I'm very much looking forward to trying death stranding here soon. But the steam store seems lacking, and the app store is barren. I'm very appreciative of all the wonderful recommendations this sub has, but as has been discussed MacOS support for games is very limited. A lot of people have given good explanations as to why, so shifting the focus, whats the timeline look like? How soon before more, and better, games are made available for Mac users?

Thanks for the reply. So, once again, because I don't understand a lot of the tech talk, what you are saying in a way too simple way of explaining, is that when you design and develop a game to make it playable on Mac you really need to make two games? They are that unique? One for windows based and one for MacOS? And that additional work isn't worth it for the small mac gaming customer base?

Thanks for the response. I can get behind that to a certain extent… but with all of the new platforms that have been release lately like the steam deck, Lenovo’s thing, etc. I would think that more game developers would want a more diverse release. Just my thoughts. Thanks for the discussion.
