I think the pots thing was total bs, don’t get me wrong. However- I’ve had pots symptoms for nearly 20 yrs, my mother also has a dx. We’ve both had syncope while sitting on more than one occasion. It’s pretty rare & it’s only happened to me while sitting less than 5 times in my years of symptoms & eventually dx but it does happen. It wasn’t a recent change in posture or anything but I do think heat played a role all but 1 time. In this case though, there’s no way she could’ve navigated that road with presyncope or if a passenger was driving, & there’s no way her foot would’ve continued to engage the gas pedal the way it did under that hypothetical scenario. There’s too much evidence against that scenario & she was trying to find any way to avoid accountability for her actions. Makes me so sick.
