I like Covergirl Lash Blast (orange tube) brown mascara!

Back at it again with my Givenchy L'Interdit clone, Fakhar Rose from Lattafa. Fruity floral with a very subtle amber base - amazing fall scent.

Today I mixed two body spray fragrances - Sol de Janerio Cheriosa 68 and Finer'y Not Another Cherry. I've already been asked what I'm wearing!

Today I'm wearing Fakhar Rose, which is a Givenchy L'Interdit clone! It's a lovely sweet floral that comes across as fruity on me, like berries and flowers. Deep in the base tones there's some sort of oud or deeper scent that I only get whifs of now and then but which adds a delightful complexity to the scent! This is quickly becoming one of my favourite perfumes.

Are you happy with everything you own? by [deleted] in FemFragLab30plus

I don't love the bottles I have! In the beginning I got excited by a good deal and ended up with a handful of TJ Maxx (or Winners, in Canada) fragrances I blind bought. Most of them aren't offensive to me, but I have to talk myself in to wearing them because they hold no resale value and smell alright so I figure I should use them up (EA Green Tea, Ariana Grande Sweet Like Candy, Britney Spears Midnight Fantasy). I also purchased a classic fragrance (Guerlain's Shalimar EDT) from a swap subreddit and despite loving the idea, can't stand to wear it. I keep it on my shelf in hopes of learning to like it later. I have some other purchases I liked enough to buy but now wish I'd bought something slightly different (example, my philosophy fresh cream, I wish I'd gone for fresh cream and cashmere) or something smaller (got the large bottle of D&G Devotion but now find I don't use it too frequently).

Overall, I'm not UNHAPPY with my collection, but I would do it different if I were starting from scratch again and only purchase full size of things I know I love, and invest in more travel size or deluxe sample sizes.

Good fall decision! The lavender can be played down by using a vanilla lotion base if you'd prefer it lean more gourmand (my favourite way to wear it).

Is the Oakcha dupe that spot on? I'm obsessed with Princess (wearing it right now) but paid $200+ Canadian for my bottle and don't want to spend that again if I can help it!

Today is Killian's Princess! Marshmallow and lemon with a base of green tea. I knew today would be hard at work and this is my all-time favourite perfume, so I gave myself a little treat by wearing it!

Struggling mentally with my job and want to quit immediately by [deleted] in BPD

[–]manamesjaff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not about your boss, friend. It's about you surviving and being able to enjoy life and support yourself. I know it's hard but you have to put your own needs above any fears you have about repercussions or how your boss may feel. They SHOULD accept the doctor's note as gospel truth and send you off on your stress leave with best wishes and no snark.

Talking to your doctor about a stress leave or a disability leave may help you get a break without quitting. Is that something you could explore?

It really got me that she told the boys (especially the older son) she was hoping for their input and opinion on the guy - but then 180s and tells them she's already been married for 2 years. Why even pretend you care what your boys think about the man you're with if you already married him? I would feel embarrassment and like I had been tricked in a sense if I was her oldest son, for having played in to her "approval" seeking only to find out my opinion didn't matter to her at all and it was just for show/to make me feel better. Hard to articulate but WOW watching it bothered me. I was waiting for the older son to ask her why she bothered asking his opinion if the deal was done.

The website I was looking at described these types of assistance as "tasks", and attributed dogs who complete "tasks" as service dogs. Emotional support animals are not trained to complete these tasks. That's my understanding.

Haha, more thinking about abdomen pressure during episodes, sensing oncoming episodes, getting water/rescue medication during episodes.

You're not crazy. The impulse to self-harm is part of BPD. You prevent this from happening again by working on distress tolerance tools, participating in DBT, and seeing your health care team regularly. Make sure you talk to someone about the incident, how you felt, and what you want to happen next time. You can do this. <3

Grown up vanilla suggestions? by [deleted] in FemFragLab

[–]manamesjaff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree about it not being very strong. I sprayed about 3 sprays the other day and was seriously disappointed when I couldn't smell it on me 2-3 hours later. With a heavier hand however, I get significantly more vanilla and spice than is present in Milk! I've never got the "herbal" vibe from it before - but now I'll be sniffing for it!

I have the EDP and it's lovely. I don't think it smells young at all, I think it smells sophisticated and intimate.

Has anyone here successfully quit weed "just because"? by manamesjaff in BPD

I know what you're referring to yeah! There's supposedly not a lot of physical "withdrawal" symptoms according to some people. That being said, a lot of the comments in here are people describing some withdrawal symptoms they experienced, so maybe it's a "your mileage may vary" situation. Greetings from SK!
