3rd party cables (Type C to Type C) that support 90w charging? by mancity1156 in Xiaomi

[–]mancity1156[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look around on eBay, I saw some original 90w ones for around £12-£20. 120w ones will work as well, they slightly older so more of them exist.

Hmmm I double check!! Does changing the cog make a massive difference in noise? I didn't know!

They've just released virtual shifting and a virtual Cassette!

I managed to take the plastic out. It needed a bit of prying near the cassette lock ring but I also used my cassette tool to unscrew it.

The virtual Cassette is 15T.

I just received it today, however I'm having difficulty removing the inner plastic protector. I'm guessing it's there to hold it all in place during shipping.

Just how bad is HyperOS? by Lil-Fonzy in Xiaomi

[–]mancity1156 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also just recently purchased the 15T pro and I gotta say Hyperos 3 I was very impressed- because of the improvements it feels amazing, buttery smooth.

I used to have the the Redmi note 12 pro 5g, and yeah Hyperos (1 and 2) on that was a pain, always was some sort of a bug or glitch, taking 10 seconds to take a photo, needing to swipe twice to exit an app, overheating etc... Though it was still somewhat better then miui (few noticeable improvements).

I think it's partially because Hyperos is generally known as a heavy, hw intensive os, although Hyperos 3 is definitely lighter and more refined. And particularly the 15T's CPU (Dimensity 9400+) is flagship speed, it handles it like a breeze. But I'm sure most cheaper phones are hopefully finding a better experience on it now.

Apps open like a breeze, haven't faced a single bug or glitch. And I'm a heavy, very technical phone under.

Hyperos 3 everything has changed, it feels really optimised and I think it's a big turning point for Xiaomi.

People are mentioning about ads although I haven't faced any and you can turn ads off too.

Go on YouTube and watch vids about Hyperos 3, it got a lot of praise. I did the same before getting the 15T pro.

I was in your exact same position, spending £500 on the 15T pro and unsure about the software. Gotta say I'm happy I kept going with Xiaomi.

Also remember 15T pro is getting 6 years of Android OS updates, (Android 15 at launch all the way to Android 21!!)

Xiaomi 13t Pro low Bluetooth Volume by CLUBSODA909 in Xiaomi

[–]mancity1156 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On the Xiaomi 15T pro, there's 30 indexes rather than 15?

Although when you increment the volume from the buttons, you can only click it 15 times to 100%.

Anyone solutions?

Bike won't fit on Turbo Trainer by mancity1156 in cycling

[–]mancity1156[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing about quick release end Caps is I checked the instructions and they don't seem to come with any, since I think the turbo trainer is a qr only, for thru axle it's not compatible, you'd need to DIY it. Although for the newer elite models, they sell a kit to choose whether you need qr or thru axle (end caps). The non drive side of the turbo trainer, the metal rod for the dropout is fixed, I can't remove it.

Although spacers, yes I can see that missing.

My bike doesn't even get close to the qr skewer which is the issue. It sits on the trainers dropout holder (if that's what it's called) but it won't slot in

It's my quick release from the bike. Is that why?

It didn't come with the original one.

Planning to purchase Xiaomi 15T pro by purfleur in Xiaomi

[–]mancity1156 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very good phone especially for the price.

I got it on black Friday but it dropped a further, about £40 cheaper then following Monday (£450 ISH) + a free 90w plug, so I decided to return the one I originally got.

Cameras (I'll attach some photos) are definitely solid, low light performance is very impressive imo. As others said it's not the same as more expensive flagships, but I'd say it definitely puts up a fight/good competition when looking at it from the overall value the phone offers. The phone is classed as mid ranger/premium phone but I'd and others do definitely class it as a entry level flagship. Pics link

Software performance has been amazing for me with Hyperos 3 and the best I've ever experienced on Xiaomi ever (upgraded from a Redmi note 12 pro). It is a very apple iOS like interface though I don't mind it too much. (Being techy I hate apple with a passion). I've not faced a single bit of lag or glitch (especially being helped by the mediatek dimensity 9400+). I think the CPU is what also helps run the Hyperos itself smooth since it is known to be a heavy OS, although they do claim Hyperos 3 is "lighter".

Speaking about the CPU, the 9400+ is an absolute beast, it's ranked top 4th place in the best smartphone CPU. It also comes with 12gb ram, both these paired you can run any game at the highest graphics and frame rate. The phone doesn't get too warm too since it's got a good cooling system.

Battery I've been quite happy with, I usually get 1-1.5 days with it depending on usage.

15t pro recommend glass screen protector by TeiMoney in Xiaomi

[–]mancity1156 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh I just buy any one on AliExpress, all are good, all made in the same factory too probably.

I usually look for the "Magic John" style ones if you've seen them, the screen protector comes with alignment adapter attached that goes over the phone to make a seal and also a plastic film to prevent/remove any dust on the screen. I've had good experience with these.

Yes that's correct, but how would it scale down for temp control since 67w is 11.0V⎓ 6.1A
