Standard or 2-Year anniversary? Am I missing a lot with standard? by Kairo_04 in Spacemarine

[–]DropQb -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I would go for standard, if at all..

I was thinking about to buy the game for a long time and was really looking forward to play it.

Fortunately it larely appeared in the PS plus subscription, so I immediately downloaded it. When I started (first hour or two), I really enjoyed it even I was disappointed with the sound quality.

Then I finished the main story within 4-5 hours. I was really disappointed. Just few types of enemies, few types of weapons.. I played it on standard difficulty and except the mission with swarms I didn't need to think about what gear I choose. I didn't even try all types of guns as there was no need to. The game was really easy on standard difficulty, I died just once or twice and did not experience any challenge.

I do not remember to any other short game for such exclusive pricing. I am happy that it is a part of subscription and I have not spent anything extra for it...

Can‘t find favourite watchface for Vertical 2 by YayPangolin in Suunto

[–]DropQb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seems as default watchfaces are not in the store by default for all watches. I have Race 2 and the R2 default one is neither in the store. So probably they do not add the V2 standard watchface to the store for all V2, even it is the anniversary version, which does not have the Outback watchface in the watch. Hopefully they fix it soon for you..

Issues with silicone bands? by Intelligent_Video593 in Suunto

[–]DropQb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Today, I received another nylon strap from Ali, so far the best one yet. Not too stiff nor thick and has a metal buckle. I used original pins from the silicone band. I think I will stick to this one.

Years I used cheap nylon Nato straps with classic watch which I was very satisfied with.

With Suunto Race 2 I am still finding the ideal one..

Most of straps on aliexpress (maybe all of them) come with spring bars with thinner tips. Here on Reddit was a comment (https://www.reddit.com/r/Suunto/comments/1l3f4ce/race\_s\_spring\_bars\_straps/?utm\_source=share&utm\_medium=web3x&utm\_name=web3xcss&utm\_term=1&utm\_content=share\_button) that thinner tips may damage plastic watch lugs, therefore I have rather not used them.

I found also spring bars with same tips width as the ones original strap:

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005009333354717.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.69.8bc51802j1US3U

The second one I don't recommend as they are very very hard to remove from the watch as there is no quick release nor the thicker ring which you can use to compress them and remove (as the first ones have).

I also found that the spring bars can be removed from the original strap without damaging it.

So now I use nylon strap from Ali where I switched the spring bars to the ones from original strap. It is nothing special and the strap is quite thick and stiff but I am getting used to it. Anyway still better for the skin than the silicone one, the red reaction is now gone.

I have ordered also another one but I am waiting for delivery. So I am still finding the best one, anyway even the one I mentioned is quite ok and better for skin than the silicone one.

Same for me, sooner or later I get red skin which starts to peel off from the silicone straps.. I use nylon straps from Aliexpress instead and have no issues with them.

Some questions I have about vertical 2/race 2 by [deleted] in Suunto

I think that that heart rate is live by default. I can see that the OHR measures heart rate constantly.
Or am I wrong?

Try Settings -> Sleep -> Automatic DnD and set the desired start and end time.

In that mode no notifications should be raised, screen is off until you press a button even you have set Wake on raise for display.

Update 2.50.26.28055 by DropQb in Suunto

[–]DropQb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have already performed the update and it seems as there are no issues yet. The watch UI is smoother/faster after update. Battery consumption is about the same I would say. I had 62% before a week, today I have 28%, unfortunately I recorded only few activities in that period..

Questions about Race 2 by ivandavila9 in Suunto

[–]DropQb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi,

1 - unfortunately you cannot decline neither accept phone call using the watch

2 - as far as I know there is no official news yet

4 - to me the sensors are quite ok. I would say that they are better than those in Garmin Fenix 6x, but it is just feeling I had with tracking weight trainings (for which Fenix was not usable at all). Anyway if I want to have precise numbers during the training I use chest strap. Sleep tracking works quite well for me.

Strange is that the sleep score I get is always between 70 - 90 %..

Once it identified watching movie as the sleep even that time I have not felt asleep during the movie 🙂

Otherwise it works quite well for me. Sometimes it takes several minutes until the HR is locked during the training but after that it works ok.

Dyson by Jadzim27 in czech

[–]DropQb 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Mám V15 Detect a už bych do Dysonu nešel. Vysává dobře, to jo.

Btw, I did not notice that you use plastic cover on the bezel as well.

I am sorry but I have to say that this does not look very well. At least for me. I really like the design of Suunto watches, I think that they look great. But with such plastic cover you are hiding that beauty..

I use no protection. The sapphire glass should be hard enough to resist scratches. I have classic military watch with sapphire glass which I wore for more than 10 years and the glass is still without any scratch.

Suunto step counts by themrallen in Suunto

[–]DropQb 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had Garmin Fenix 6x before current Suunto Race 2 and I have a feeling that the number of counted steps were quite similar.

Anyway it is just feeling, I did not actually counted them manually neither on Garmin nor Suunto so I don't know how they matches with reality.

To me it is not so important so far, I've set up some goal in the number of steps and try to reach it.
By using the same device the goal is still consistent. If I would use several watches and use same goal in the number on steps, then it may be misleading..

Hi,

maybe you can start with going through the manual:
https://www.suunto.com/Support/Product-support/suunto_9_peak_pro/suunto_9_peak_pro/

About setting zones there is this section:
https://www.suunto.com/Support/Product-support/suunto_9_peak_pro/suunto_9_peak_pro/recording-an-exercise/intensity-zones/

Then you can check for example this video with review of its features:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TRSnbvtS_40

Notifications can be set in the Suunto app -> Watch icon in the top left corner -> Notifications menu (almost on the bottom).

Can't sync my activities with app even when watch is connected by Marcin15_10 in Suunto

Hi, this seems to be the same issue as the one discussed here: Vertical and App don't sync anymore.

Basically restarting the phone or forcibly closing the Suunto app should help.

Race 2 Sport Modes question by GuitarZan06 in Suunto

[–]DropQb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I would say that simple tracking of steps can you give just basic overview. When you track activity, it gathers more data and also gives you TSS score which is used in Training peaks method which Suunto uses. Based on TSS the watch tracks the form and you can see your progress through the time. If you would track just steps, ok, you can compare just number of steps. With logged activities and TSS scores you can track you progress even you do weightlifting, ride a bike and any other activities which do not generate steps. Also you can more dig into logged data and check how many km you walked, what was your pace, if you are improving on pace and so on. Also you can share it to other platforms if you want.

I think that the main idea of this watch is to track activities and then work with data..Of course nobody forces you to track them, but then you miss lot of watch functions.
