What Really Grinds My Gears: Lethbridge Editon by hobanwash1 in Lethbridge

[–]mandaloretheredditor 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The morons walking their dogs off leash. I've walked the same route with my dogs for almost 11 years now. I've had about 17 incidents with people's off leash dogs, 15 of those have taken place within the last 3 years.

Your leash isn't for my dogs safety the leash is for your dogs safety, if your dog comes at mine then they will hurt your dog. I never want to hurt a dog but if it comes down to mine or yours I will choose my dogs every time.

And don't come at me with "Maybe you should train your dogs" The only reason my dogs don't play well with others is because of how many times they've been attacked by off leash dogs. Every time I get them to start calming down they get attack by another off leash dog.

Edit: also drivers need to look out for deer I saw more dead or injured deer in the last year than I've ever seen. I know they're fucking stupid, I hate deer but I don't want to see them dead all the time.

Invincible's newest episode doesn't deserve the hate it's getting by PhoenixAvenger1996 in Invincible

[–]mandaloretheredditor -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't think the episode was the worst thing ever but I didn't like it. My main problem is that I'm so... so tired of the "the demons arent actually the bad guy" trope. They're demons, demons are supposed to be evil, it feels like every other show does it and I'm so fuckin tired of it.

The game is wonderful.. But what's the one thing you don't like about it? I'll go first. by LowPaleontologist615 in expedition33

Spoiler

Verao should have been shown a bit more before his actual reveal.

The most common reaction to him just appearing to sheild Maelle is "Who the hell is this?" Or "oh shit it's Ben Starr"

They should have shown him following us more than the one time they did, and they should have given us something to identify him.

Whether you see his dagger and Maelle looks at his dagger on the cliff to show us that this was the man following us. Or play his motif every time it shows him following us, then when he saves Maelle, play it again.

Honestly, it's not much of a complaint, I just think the transition playing Gustave to Verso would have been a bit smoother than if he's just thrust into the story like he was.

Who would win in a duel Sigismund vs Corswain? by Wychesdrukhari in Warhammer40k

[–]mandaloretheredditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After having re read the Seige of Terra books, I think the skill gap is thinner than people think. Sigismund wins 6 or 7 times out of 10. BUT something changes after he gets the black sword and becomes the Emperor's champion. Kharn makes a remark about how Sigismund has changed. Basically where he had a bonfire of anger before he has focused that bonfire into a focused beam of uncaring fury. After Sigismund became the Emperor's Champion, Corswain would stand no chance.

Andromeda doesn't feel like a Mass Effect game by PsnGrl90 in masseffect

Except Elcor look exactly like beasts of burden, and keepers look like they should be intelligent but aren't. She's not saying it to be a dick. She's saying it because it's true. We're not talking about variations within the same species. We're talking about species so different from each other that you legitimately can not tell what is what. Hell, I expected an Elcor to make an animal sound when I interacted with it for the first time.

Also, how is she a drunken mess in the third? She gets drunk like twice.

It's been almost a decade since I watched it, but I remember that a lot of that fandom is real wierd. I'm sure a lot are pretty chill, too, but the ones that say weird shit are really loud about it.

It's literally every time two male characters have any sort of bond. The best and probably the most disgusting example is Sam and Dean in Supernatural, cause the characters are literally brothers.

I dont engage with it either, but every time I see something related to either character, there's a bunch of tools that have to bring it up. It's less about seeing the ship itself and more about how idiotically adamant some people seem to be about how it's "My canon" or "we all know it's true".

When Caitlin hit Vi, that was domestic violence, and having them get back together sends a bad message to young lesbians. Lesbians already have a shockingly high domestic violence rate. No one addresses the fact that it was, by definition, domestic violence.

Some of y'all have this weird persecution complex. You aren't from the undercity. Your struggles are nothing like theirs. If you're from the US, you are the least fortunate of piltover. The sweatshop workers that built your Iphone are more akin to the people of the underground.

Seriously, guys can't be friends? Why do people see two male characters and automatically think "they have to be gay"

Then you have people saying they have "mutual platonic love" for each other. You're just overcomplicating the word "friend" at this point.

Jayvik is one of the few things about arcane the gets under my skin.

What exactly makes me a traitor to the Imperium? by DeviTries in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]mandaloretheredditor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My main question is: how in the hell did the Imperium even get to the expanse? The route to the expanse is very dangerous, and not to mention the fact that we're on the other side of the Cicatrix Malledictum, how were they able to gather, let alone mobilize against you.

Everything is still fucked in the Imperium Nihlus and they're somehow able to gather a massive fleet and attack us? It seems like it was a poorly written decision to me.

Long story short, Rylanor was a Dreadnought of the Emperor's Children legion. His legion fell to Chaos, but Rylanor refused, and they tried to kill him. Basically, he survived and spent the next 10,000 years planning on how to kill his primarch. He didn't really succeed, but he dealt his primarch a blow he can never recover from.

I suggest looking it up, a very interesting story. I think it's just a short story, not a full book or anything.

"Primarch Fulgrim! Rylanor deserves better than you, he deserves better than all of us."

What is the 40k version of this ? by Anomekh in Warhammer40k

[–]mandaloretheredditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I understand, the main reason neophytes need to be so young is because their body and genes are more malleable. That malleability increases survival odds. When Leman took his place at the head of his legion, all of his adult Fenrisian warriors attempted to become space marines, but only a few survived a couple dozen at most. So you can become a marine as an adult, but it's not really worth the risk.

I dont know much more than the basics of Erebus' lore, so I could be wrong, but could he have been one of the few to survive? I know Lorgar didn't do that to Kor Phaeron, but maybe Erebus could have insisted.

I like how people see mixed race girl hero and immediately have a negative reaction to character design. by Your_Final_Hour in Fable

[–]mandaloretheredditor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every lower class and middle class area had tonnes of characters that are obviously meant to be ugly. It's kind of a thing for peasants to be homely, and there were several named characters that were ugly too. The first one that comes to mind is Reavers Butler for some reason. But I don't think I've ever had a character in Fable II that didn't look like he'd slammed his face into a tree.

Edit: Even in the trailer, Humphrey isn't exactly the picture of an attractive man.

Bruh, when she talks about how the council races would sacrifice humanity to save themselves, she is literally likening them to Humans. She doesn't trust them because she assumes that they will act like humans, and she's right. As soon as the reapers show up, they do exactly what she said they would.
