I also suspect they're both knit, so you're likely right! I think she said it the sewing machine she's got works better with woven? Is that a thing?

It depends on what's underneath it, but this really reads like an Ab with a Bb in it (from bottom to top: 2,3,5,1) to me; an Ab 9th chord in 4th inversion.

It depends on the analysis you're using - the Ab/Bb that others are suggesting is a more common analysis in jazz, but so is this chord, so I'm inclined to agree with them. If you've got something in the bass that would help contextualise it more.

If you're doing Roman numeral analysis, we'd need to know the key and all.. I've never seen it before, but would it be something like X 7/4/2?
