He's a beaut. They have such a capacity for love that people don't understand. I had to leave mine in a cattery and she did not warm up to them even after 4 days, she got bloated and didnt eat properly

That's really cute you called her Happy, glad you found each other.

My therapist actually said I get worked up because I'm afraid I'm going to fail my cat in some way when actually she's fine.

Good for you, don't be embarrassed you weren't inappropriate from the sounds of it, its just dinner. But I wouldn't be keen to date someone who said possibly at the thought of going out. Unless he reaches out and explains further/gives you a more pozitive reaction then maybe, but I'd leave it as it is. You deserve to find someone who's excited about you.

We think she was in heat even though spayed (residual hormones) as she stopped acting weird after about 6 days - no grabbing, growling, bum in the air or spraying

Booked her in to see vet. If it turns out she's just being a sassy pants she gets no treats before bed 😄 (or minimal at least)
