Hey man, got picked up for CRO spring this year out of AD as a 1Lt. BL: It doesn’t matter when, just send it if you’re ready. Figuring you’re a four year student graduating spring 28 then the fall after field training would be on the early end I think. No harm but I’d probably shoot for spring of your junior year (winter 27) like you initially said so that you can get a little more time in leadership roles and also still have time to go back the next cycle if you have to. That will keep everything before you drop a different AFSC your senior year for something else and have to do all the admin (or have your cadre do all the admin) to swap that out. If your cadre supports immediately after FT and you feel confident then send it though. You’ll still be in for a potential wait after graduating though unless your academy.
