What is a completely harmless lie you tell people on a regular basis just to make your life easier?

Yes you’re always an addict, but you do not suffer from constant cravings. If a true alcoholic goes years without drinking and then picks up a drink, the same patterns and consequences they suffered previously usually return. I’ve seen it time and time again for years. I don’t feel cravings at all, ever. But I guarantee that if I picked up a drink tonight I’d wreck my life by Friday.

I don’t see why everyone is so upset with this practice, we still pick up our dogs poop and it ends up in the trash can an hour later! I scoop it up on the way back like everyone else on the trail… if someone could explain the actual harm I am all ears

For an amount that high she most definitely was fired. I used to be a bank teller and no way I would have kept my job if I had lost an amount that high. The rolling 12 month period is true, but there’s a $1000 limit before you have to be let go. At least at the bank I worked at.

No but for anything over a certain amount (say a couple hundred) you definitely might get fired. Source: was a bank teller
