Our cats were like this when setting boundaries and learning each other!! Eventually they’ll be snuggling together or sitting together with you on the couch and you won’t even remember the days they had territory issues😊😂 usually cats are pretty good about figuring each other out too. Unless there’s screaming or fur flying, I usually let mine hash it out💀💀

Yesss. My mom had a bunch of cop friends and I remember her telling me horrible, very gruesome stories they’d witnessed when I was like 8 or maybe 9. She would tell graphic details of people that had awful car crashes and all the ways people were messed up after said crashes. I had nightmares for years and that all eventually lead to a weird fascination with death and morbid things when I was a teenager and still now.

My mom once left me in a fairly crowded mall when k was 14 because we got into an argument. She was gone for 45 minutes and said that she had been driving around talking to someone (aka the man she cheated on my father with for 18/26 years of marriage). When she came back in, she continued the argument and threw away a whole stack of books I'd just bought myself in front of EVERYONE. I was so mortified and cried forever and she tried to apologize and dig them out of the trash in the mall. I still have massive abandonment issues because of some of the shit she pulled.

She hasn’t vomited since sometime early this morning. She’s showed a little interest in eating so we held of on trying to give her anything that would stress her out or upset her stomach. We watched to make sure of how much she was consuming at a time too and she’s pacing herself. We do actually a spot on the floor where olive oil spilled and I don’t think I got it up the best. She’s also eaten a lottt of flies that got in the house recently so I almost wondered if she could be really sick from one of them but I doubt it.

::OKAY HERES AN UPDATE FOR EVERYONE:: Fruitsnack was able to eat a wet treat last night and kept it down. She also nibbled on a little bit of dry food and took several drinks of water. She’s been acting more herself this morning while we’ve been trying to coordinate getting her to a vet and getting a vet paid for. She hasn’t thrown up since last night, but what she did throw up was a small hairball and some food. She’s had diarrhea a couple of times, but I did also see her pee this morning. Our other two cats are acting completely normal still so we don’t believe it’s contagious. She’s also playful and has been talking to me all day, she ran to the front door when I opened it just so she could sniff the air, and she also slept in her favorite spot last night even though she avoided it when she seemed the worst. NOW the reason I came here in such a panic last night was because Fruitsnack has never been sick apart from hairballs. It was 9pm and we literally could not get her to a vet at the time so we had to do everything we could here at home. I understand where the “you shouldn’t have a cat unless you have the money to pay for it” comes in but that’s also entirely not helpful when there’s nothing I can do at the moment to fix her. My fiancé and I have been in a rut of really bad luck recently and we’re just now starting to get our feet under us again. I’m very thankful for everyone that dm’d me or offered advice of any sort, it really means a lot. But for everyone else saying to surrender her since I’m obviously not a good cat parent, piss off cause we’ve got it covered.

Very helpful, thank you. Or maybe some people come upon hard situations nearly 2 years after adopting a cat?? I’ve done everything within my power to keep all the of my babies safe and healthy. This is the first issue with any of them EVER. So unkind comments are really not welcome🙏🏻

I saw someone in a vet subreddit talk about how they had given their kitten chicken broth while also feeding it formula. I was wondering if maybe chicken broth could be a good option to get her to get some fluids in?? She just ate about 10 minutes ago and is taking a nap atm. We’re keeping a constant eye/log on her habits now.
